Working out is rough & What's Kelson's up to these days

Well I did the body attack class again last night- by myself ;)- and boy am I freaking sore. This time its my freaking Achilles tendon- weird huh? I think I pulled it somehow. I was trying to use more calf muscles since my arches really hurt when I exercise. I'm gonna buy some insoles and a calorie ticker watch (like Stacey's). I was sweating like a beast after the class and my face was SOOO red. I felt REALLY good to complete the class! I think tonight/today i'm just gonna do the elliptical- to give my arches, heel, and calves a rest ;) I really encourage all those gym Nazis out there to try out a few classes instead of just hitting the machines. It makes an hour go by so much quicker!

Cute picture of Kelson and her cousins in Florida!
Updates with Kelson- she is doing really well. Has been a real angel these past few weeks. No problems with her at all! I busted out the glow worm- found it in her toy box- and now I can just turn it on and let her play with it until she falls asleep in her bed- on her own. What a good girl. Kelson updates: (I think some of these are repeaters) When you say so big- she holds both arms up, Asking her (in french) where's our pretty girl is - and she points to herself, LOVES fruits, starting to sign fan- she understands what fan means- I'll ask her and she looks up at one- same with a light. She still says Dada, nana, and lala- no Mama yet, but I have a feeling it will be soon. She hasn't crawled or walked yet- she does this air swimming move- its cute. when we turn on The Wonder Pets show she claps. You tell her Danse (french for dance) and she starts moving around to the music, she moves her hand up and down on her mouth- like an Indian chant, no more teeth yet, she has her own set of pearl earrings in, when you hand her the Lilo and Stitch cell phone she holds it up to her ear, she spits (sometimes) when you are feeding her- its hilarious! She's trying to teach Aunt Theana how to blow/spit cause she can't do it. haha, she loves to look at herself in the mirror, likes to be read to, LOVES the beach and playground, loves bath time, smiles/laughs when Eers runs around in the house or in the yard, sleeps through the night (wakes up around 7:30am- pretty consistent), in a great mood after waking up, weighs around 16lbs - our guess- (not sure of her length) and last but not least-fights to fall asleep when being held (I think she's afraid she will miss something).

Her nicknames are: Minkey, boo boo, baby girl, daddy's/momma's girl, belle fille, and angel from above(that's what nanny calls her)

The other day Jason and I were showing Kelson off to some ladies at the dr office and I asked her where momma's pretty girl was and we all were listening and she let out a huge burp- it was hilarious- I was like- that's my girl- haha!

Btw.. here is the link to some pics from the cousins in FL! What a great time!

Yo' Government- Where be our check? hahaha!

I've been getting concerned since our rebate check from the gov hasn't come in yet. Jason and I are DIRECT DEPOSIT people and the last digits of our ss#'s are really low, so I would have thought we would have gotten it by now, but no such luck. We had to pay this year, but I know several people that have and still got their money already. I'm always good about paying on time. With that money- I'm planning on paying off bills or saving for our Europe trip next year, I still like to know status on where our money is!? Has anyone else been waiting on their check that thinks they should have already gotten it?

Signed,
Frustrated US citizen (hehe)

Put that in your blender and make a sweat smoothie!!!

HAHA- this is Stacey and my's new saying after making it through the class at the gym lastnight. We ATTEMPTED to do the Body Attack class- we were sweating like crazy. It really did ATTACK us, but we managed to stick it out and finish the class. According to Stacey's calorie burner ticker we lost over 800 cal in that one hour of class. It was very high intensity. My dang calves are so sore today. At least I know it worked. I want to encourage the other bloggers out there to do classes at the gym- not just the treadmill or elliptical. It makes working out more exciting! I hope to attend classes 2-3 times a week from now on. I'm trying to convince some of the Biggest Loser Bloggers to join Riveria!

Hope everyone is having a great week!

Stacey and I have some other plans after our POST weight loss- don't we Stacey? ;) hehe! Yall are gonna crack up at us, but we really think this is something we can do! Tell ya later ;)

FL trip- what a blast!!!!

Well Kelson and I had a WONDERFUL time with the Donald family this past weekend. Kelson got to experience a lot of FIRSTS on this trip so that was exciting.
Kelson and I left Thurs afternoon- it was weird having Jason dropping us off at the airport (I'm so used to him going on trips with us), but since he had shows he wasn't able to go. Anyways, so we did the whole PLANE thing and Kelson did really good. I carried her around in the Jeep carrier- highly recommend it. We sat next to a couple that has 4 kids, so they were VERY helpful and understanding. They even held her books for her and stuff. I was worried that people wouldn't be friendly, but overall it was GREAT. No rude people or looks like shut that kid up. For most of the part- she was the entertainment- showing off her talents :) Of course we got lots of She's so pretty compliments ;) AWWW! Right before we boarded I decided to change her one last time and boy was I glad I did she had a HUGE poopy diaper. Whew. We got to FL around 5 and Keri and the kids were there waiting on us. Belle and Corgan are so much fun and just so cute. Belle takes great care of Corgan and loved having another girl around to play with. She says Baby Kelson sooooo cute. Anyways, so we headed back to Melbourne, but the kids started getting cranky (and I myself was hungry) so we stopped at Target had some yummy food (Pizza- bad Kelly) and we went shopping- grocery mostly, but Keri had a few things she wanted to get for her house. So we were there for almost 3 hours- hehe. We got all kinds of stuff- food, dominoes (which we never got to play), a book for Kelson, clothes for the kids, movies, etc.. it was fun just hanging out and shopping with the kids. Poor Belle has another UTI so she was a little down, but overall it was a lot of fun. We played racing the cart games and Belle loved that. She kept wanting to go over and over so I told her that Swiper (Dora character) was watching us and we had to be very quiet and sneaky, so she played along- whew! Anyways, we got back to Keri's around 9 or so and the kids were ready for bed. I was pretty tired too, so I went to bed with Kelson.
The next morning- Friday- we got a late start, so we were SUPPOSED to go to the beach, but Belle had to go to the Dr and we were running behind, so we just hung out at the house for a while while Keri and Belle went to the Dr's. I watched Corgan and Kelson for an hour & 1/2. Its different having two. I'm kinda glad that my wish for twins didn't happen ;) hehe! It was fun though. Kelson kept smacking Corgan's head- I guess she thought it was fun. I let her try Corgan's go round toy and she LOVED it. We: Keri, Corgan, Kelson, and I (Belle took a nap at home with Keith) decided to go to the mall- we didn't have much time since we were meeting Erica- Keri's sweet friend who was taking pics of the kids for us at 5:30, so we hustled and got the kids ready and went to the mall around 3:30 and went to get the kids matching PJ's and to buy Kelson some smaller earrings. I got her some really cute pearl ones. The diamond ones were too big for her and irritating her ears. So I got them back until she gets older ;) We had several people ask if Corgan and Kelson were twins- since they were in the double stroller and so close in age. Although they really don't look much alike. Keri and I just laughed about it. So we got back to the house around 5- fed the kids and got them all dressed. Left around 6 to go to the park. It was REALLY pretty outside and it was a lot of fun. Keri and I wanted to get pics with us too, but we didn't have to get ready, so we just got pics of the kids (hoping to post those this week). The kids were taking turns not being cooperative, so we just took what we could- but I think Erica got some cute ones. Kelson did rather good. I can't wait to see the pics! After pics Belle wanted to go on the playground, so we all went- Kelson LOVED the swing. I got her going down the slide too- with my help of course- she loved that. There isn't much Kelson doesn't like to do. We had such a good time. I got on the adult swing and sat her in my lap and swing- she was doing her excited moves and laughing. So cute. I went to get some water from the water fountain and decided to let Kelson try and she was sooo funny- I bent her down and she opened her mouth really wide and I let the water pour in- she kept signing more- so we did it several times. She loves her water too. What a girl!!!! Anyways, so it was getting dark and I was pretty worn out so we headed back home- all the kids fell asleep - well pretty much- and then we had some cereal and went to bed. It was a very busy day for all of us.
Saturday we decided to go the beach- at first we were putting it off, but we finally went around 11ish. We were about 10 min from the beach and Keri realized we didn't have the umbrella pole, so we had to turn around- which was a good thing- since Kelson poopied like crazy (coming out of the swimsuit/diaper and everything), so we changed Kelson, Belle went pee (in the potty)- she's doing so good with this, Keri grabbed the umbrella pole (although I think she wanted to stick it somewhere else - right Keith ;) ) hehe! We got to the beach around noon. We planned to be there early so it wasn't the hottest part of the day, but it really wasn't too bad. We put SPF 50 on the kids and went out to the sand. I wasn't sure how Kelson was gonna react to the beach, but she ABSOLUTELY LOVED IT!!!! We went to the beach (at Joan's beach house) at 2 1/2 months old, but of course she wasn't nearly old enough to experience it. Well this time Kelson loved the whole beach thing. I know how much she loves bath time, so I thought she would enjoy it, but wasn't sure. I sat down on the beach- just enough for the water to flow over us- Kelson would get SOOO excited when the waves were coming- she loved it. Even getting drenched and a face full of water a few times she was still smiling and loving every minute of it. Keri mentioned that I was much the same way when I was a little girl. So I took her out a little further and she just loved it. I loved seeing her having so much fun. Cousin Deena (aline's daughter) met us at the beach for a while. I tried to get Kelson back to the sand-under the umbrella- and she didn't want to leave. Finally Keith got us some pizza (bad Kelly again) but we didn't get a chance to eat much since it started raining and we had to gather the kids, get the sand off everything, and get the stuff back to the car- this was NOT fun and we were all worn out by this time. You know how the sun can wear you out. Anyways, so I washed off Kelson in the outside shower thingy and we got the kids changed and into the car. Within minutes of putting Kelson in her seat- she was OUT. She was sooo tired. Since we didn't get much time with Deena, I asked her if she wanted to go eat seafood that night. She was excited - esp since Rusty could join us too. So we went back to the house- got showers and everyone took naps- and we met them at Bonefish Willy's. It was soooooo yummy!!! Best seafood I've had in a while- I had the stuffed tilapia and crab legs. DELISH! We had all three kids, Keri, Keith, me, Deena, and Rusty. They seated us next to a table of 20 prom kids. As the night went on and the kids got tired and ready to go I stood up to walk around with Kelson and I looked over at the prom kids and said, "Make sure you guys use protection tonight!" and they all busted out laughing-- along with our table- haha! Keri commented like our moms hired us to sit here tonight- what a funny group of people we are. Keri and Keith treated us all to dinner, very sweet. Thanks again Keri and Keith for a wonderful dinner. After we got back- the kids went to sleep and Keri and I started looking at ideas for our Europe trip :) We got some good ideas- it's gonna be so much fun. We are bringing the hubby's too!
Sunday morning we got up around 8:30 (7:30 Alabama time) fed the kids, Keri got some pics of the kids in their matching PJ's, and I finished packing our bags. Nicole came over and visited a little while and helped with the kids. I was bummed that I didn't get to see my godmother- she hasn't seen Kelson yet :( Anyways, we got to the airport on time and the flight home was great. Sat next to a 20 yr old boy - who was VERY helpful and playing with Kelson. Memere and Louise came and picked us up. Kelson was SOOO excited to see her Memere. Grammy and Papa were gonna come over after we got home, but Kelson and I both went down for a nap, then we got up and ate and it was bedtime, so we hope to see them Tues sometime :) Jason gets home tonight, so I'm excited to see him and give him a big ole hug! I'm sure he's ready to see Kelson too.
It wasn't a very long trip, but it was def lots of fun and we enjoyed every minute of it. Thank you again Keri and family for a wonderful memory! Love you!

PS- i totally forgot to blog about Keri and I watching the New Kids on the Block on the Today show. Overall it wasn't too bad. They still sounded pretty good. There were a couple mistakes (JON KNIGHT, but I mean they did rather well. I will buy their album when it comes out! hehe. This was so much fun to watch with my sis.

Blogger Weigh Ins... 2nd week...

We actually didn't start till April 30th, so today is the 2nd week of our weigh in's! I hope everyone is doing a GREAT job! I can't wait to hear the comments for this week. I weighed lastnight, but I'm going to weigh again today for my FINAL result for this week. I hadn't lost much, but I lost some body fat % so that's a plus- esp since I've been busting it at the gym. I took the Body Combat class lastnight and it was a GREAT calorie burner class and I'm actually sore today. I suggest that class to all. Its funner than the treadmill or elliptical. Time flew by too. I LOVE Rocky Balboa, so this is right up my alley ;) Well girls- LET'S HEAR IT???

This week's challenge: Drink as much water (half of your body weight) EVERY DAY!
Ex: 180 lb girl will drink 90 oz water a day! GO FOR IT- you can do it!

I started to get discouraged due to the fact that I was SLOWLY losing weight and then I read these tips and felt better, so I wanted to help re-assure your dieting/exercising progress as well:

1) Weighing yourself first thing in the morning is usually best. Because of variations in food and fluid consumption, we often “gain” different amounts of weight throughout the day.
2) If you're weighing frequently, remember that daily fluctuations in weight are common. Just because you're heavier today than yesterday doesn't mean your weight control program isn't working. Don't become a slave to the numbers.
3) Monthly variations in weight are also common in menstruating women.
4) “Plateaus” in weight loss aren't necessarily bad. If you're exercising a lot, your weight may remain constant for a time even though you're still decreasing your body fat content and getting healthier.
5) Finally, cues other than the numbers on the scale are equally important. How do you feel? Are your clothes getting looser or tighter? Do you feel stronger, healthier, leaner? Your own perceptions can be the most valuable tools to help you track your weight control progress.

Flight Trip to FL- TOMORROW...

Well Kelson and I are headed to FL tomorrow to visit Keri and the kids! I'm super excited. We are planning a very eventful time. Pictures, beach, discuss my 30th bday plans, etc.. good times. I can't wait! I'm a little nervous about flying alone with Kelson, but since its a direct flight I don't think it will be too bad. I'm gonna bring my carrier so Kelson can hang out while I pull the luggage and carry the diaper bag/purse. I have it all figured out :) The only part I'm nervous about is WHO IS GOING TO BE SITTING NEXT TO US?? I hope its either an empty seat or someone who doesn't mind kids. The flight isn't too long, so that's a good thing too. I always think back of Keri's HORROR woman on her flight to Europe. She was very crude and said mean things to Keri about keeping THAT BABY quiet- it was awful. Have you guys ever experienced anything like this before? If so, how did you react?

I know that we will be fine and I'd rather fly than drive any day. Allegiant is no longer offering non stop flights after May 31st, so I had to take advantage of it. Stinks! Anyways, I hope the fire problems in FL won't interfer with our flight. Just say a little prayer for Kelson and I that we have a safe flight down and back!

Another thing that Keri and I plan to do while we are down there is --- Watch NKOTB on the Today show together Friday morning. How exciting! haha! I'm sure its gonna either be really cool or really suck- no in between.

Well wish us luck on our first airline adventure as mommy and daughter ;) Love to you all!

What's up with that? COMMENTING ON BLOGGER

So, why aren't you readers out there commenting? My site meter said I had 22 hits today, but not one comment? I don't get it. Are my stories sucky? haha. Not getting comments is like when you send an e-mail and you just can't wait to see that response in your inbox and you never get it- its frustrating. I am writing this blog more for Kelson to have as a memory of her life but I would love some feedback, congrats, stories of your life, etc.. The only comments I've been getting are from my "Biggest Loser Bloggers" on our competition.

What's up with that!? Is it too much work to have to comment or something?

Imagine how much time it takes to write the blog ;)

Baby Dedication/Happy Mother's Day

I'm just getting around to write about this day. What a wonderful day! We went to Pineview Family Church for Kelson's baby dedication. Bro Joey had each couple come up with their child and he asked us three questions pertaining to promising to have God involved in their lives. It was very sweet. Bro Joey made mention that Jason was lead singer of Heartland. He joked that he had cold feet and didn't want to sing at church, but would do it in front of thousands. I had asked Jason if he would sing a few days prior, but I guess Mike wasn't available to play. After the questions he had our family members gather around us to pray for us and to help guide us is a positive direction. It felt really good doing this for our family. The church gave Kelson a pink new testament bible. Very cute. We enjoyed the church service and got some pics with Joey afterwards.
After church, we went home and had sandwhiches and just enjoyed the time together and hung out with everyone. The girls watched the movie "27 dresses"- it was pretty cute. Guys did their thing. The mothers got flowers from my mom and dad and Adrienne bought some for the mother's too. We all had a wonderful dinner that Jason made- turkey, country style ribs, potato salad (thanks Nin), and a cabbage/mushroom Emeril recipe dish. All was delish. We opened our presents. I gave both mother's a "Kelson" pocket photo book (pics of her from the beginning to the most recent). They LOVED them. I added a few of Corgan and Belle into mom's book. I got a very sweet card from Kelson- Care Bears card- and a sweet one from my hubby too. Daddy went and grabbed a Dairy Queen Ice Cream cake- it was very good. It was a wonderful 1st Mother's Day. Yesterday, after work I got home and there was a gorgeous tree- crape myrtle that Jason and Kelson got me. Its to help me remember my FIRST Mother's Day. How sweet! Going to plant it somewhere special and after it blooms, I'll take pics for you all to see.

Baby Dedication/Mother's Day Pics

Surprise- your going to see the Hsv Orchestra

Lucy and Bob bought Jason and I tickets to see the Huntsville Symphony Orchestra for our anniversary present. I wasn't sure at first what to think about it. I do love listening to an Orchestra, but mainly when there is singing with it. Well come to find out it was the Hsv Orchestra playing songs from some of our fav movies- Star Wars, Disney, Harry Potter, and Little Shop or Horrors. So then I was excited :) Jodi Benson- the girl who was the voice of Ariel from Little Mermaid was gonna be there too.
We went to Dolce (restauraunt in Bridge Street)- it was expensive but sooooo good. I had the mushroom ravioli. I don't understand you pay more money and get less food. What a stupid concept? Anyways, since I'm dieting that was probably a good idea. We got to the VBCC Concert Hall and as we were entering we saw some storm troopers and various characters from some of the movies taking pictures with kids. We left our camera in the car- since we thought they wouldn't allow them, so I ran back to the car to get it. I RAN too in high heels- that was fun. NOT! By the time I got back they were already gone. POOP. So anyways we went to our seats and the show started. At first I wasn't sure if I would make it through it- I was really tired from the night before- they played the "Star Wars" theme and some of the characters came out- some I have no clue who they were, but Jason knew them all. hehe! Then they played the soundtrack from Raiders of the Lost Ark, Harry Potter, ET and Superman, then another movie I didn't recognize and that's when I was getting sleepy. They had intermission after that. I looked at the program to see what was coming up- I was super excited- it was the disney portion. After intermission Jodi Benson (voice of Ariel), Burke Moses (the voice of Gaston- from Beauty and the Beast), and Gary Mauer (star of Broadway's Phantom of the Opera) All three of them were phenominal singers. They took turns singing- either solo or all together. It was so much fun watching them and they were so into the music. I WISH I could have gotten video. I didn't stop smiling and I was no longer sleepy. They did a number from the Little Shop of Horrors and Jodi NAILED the part of Audrey talking/singing. Again very good. After the show, we were going to get in line and buy the Little Mermaid movie and get her signature, but the line was FOREVER long. So we got some pics with the storm troopers, superman, and other star wars characters. Jason was in heaven and like a 5yr old. It was a great night. Thank you Bob and Lucy for the memorable night.

SOOOO CUTE!!!!

I was straightening and sorting out Kelson's clothes when I ran across some of her summer bathing suits and a penguin suit that Aunt Keri had bought for her months ago. So Jason and I decided to play dress up with her. She has three different bathing suits- no not spoiled at all- hehe. One from the Annabelle collection, one that Aunt Jeannette bought her, and one that we got her. Yesterday I found another one too that I someone else had bought her at one of my showers. Jason put the penguin suit on Kelson while I was putting away clothes and they peeked in with that outfit on and my heart just jumped cause she looked soooo adorable and was smiling! We went over to show Nanny and she couldn't believe it either.
Anyways, take a peek at the MODELING world of Kelson. Its so freaking cute!
More pictures

Things about Kelson: Signs "more" VERY WELL, "fan" (when she wants to), pats herself for "i'm here" when Memere asks where her pretty girl is, holds both hands up when someone says SO BIG (grammy did that one), grunts at people, HIGH PITCH squealing when she gets excited, says Nana, Dada, and Lala.. no Mama yet:(, has two bottom teeth, goes to bed around the same time (8:30pm ish) in her own bed, loves ALL foods, loves her cheetos, drinks water very well, holds her own sippy cup, still cherishes her pacifier "pap pap" and puts it in her mouth herself. Loves to go to sleep to Olivia Newton John (thanks Papa), LOVES to watch Wonder Pets, still loves to bounce in her jumperoo, starting to wave hi and goodbye, will go to anyone (still shy around the boys though), doesn't mind to dress up (obviously), loves to play with EERS and gets excited if he runs though the house, loves to play with the remote control, loves bath time, and is so much fun!

Heartland's New Release... take a listen

They expect their new song "Slow Down" to be released in three weeks. Its such a meaningful song- really touches the heart like "I loved her first". Its so sweet. This song can be protrayed as a mother to her daughter. I REALLY feel this song ;) Its perfect for Mother's Day- i wish they could have gotten it out before then. Oh well- God has a purpose and timing for everything- maybe Father's Day :) Anyways check out their myspace page and take a listen. Heartland Myspace Link
There are two other songs on that site that will be on the album or may be one of the next releases after Slow Down. They are called Modern Day Jesse James and Thank God for the Hard Times. Both great as well. They hope to shoot a video not longer after the release and get another song ready to roll after that is complete. The label is going to push the song HARD, so let's all hope that Heartland gets another #1 or at least a top 10. I think this song will get Heartland's name back out there and back on the map :)

*Congrats to Craig and Wendy Anderson- they are expecting a baby boy in September. Finally someone else will have a boy besides Mikey ;)
*Happy 40th Bday Keith and Happy 36-37th (not sure) Mike!!!!

Happy Anniversary Baby!!!

Today is our official 4 year anniversary! 4 years of total bliss ;) I can't begin to explain how fun and eventful these last 10+ years have been with you baby. We have been through so much together- my school years, your band years, touring, road trips, numerous gigs, THE CAVE nights, dinner, movies, KELSON, family get togethers, cookouts, friends, laughter, tears, and so much more. I can't imagine anything better! I want to say thank you to our parents for being such an inspiration to us- I know things get rough- we see that first hand- but we know that love and God will pull us through anything. Thank you for showing us that!! I plan on staying married to this man FOREVER. OH- and I have to thank Uncle Paul for being the one to marry us- (don't worry you'll get another thank you on Thanksgiving- hehe). Marriage is such a whirlwind sometimes and we lose sight of things and so many people give up so easily, but I believe that its such a sacred thing and once you add kids into the mixture you really have to remain strong and passionate. Kids are such a blessing to a marriage. Having someone thats apart of each of you is something SOOOOO awesome. That's why we figured the name Kelson was sooo appropriate. Now- naming the next one may be difficult ;) Jason, thank you so much for all that you do for our family, remaining the same loving guy that I married, handling me, and always showing your loving affection. You are and always will be my prince charming!

Our Anniversary Trip in TN

Well we had a great time in Tn. We got to G'burg around 6:30pm and went straight to the hotel and got checked in. The room was very nice- had a fireplace and jacuzzi tub in the bedroom. We were starving so we got showers and headed to Bubba Gump Shrimp, Co. Restaurant. It was very good- I actually ate good too. We each had a few margaritas and headed to the shops. We WANTED to go gamble some but the cab fare was $65/each way and it was all hills and I knew drinking and winding hills wouldn't go so well together, so we passed on doing that. We went to the arcade and played a few rounds of Deal or No Deal for tickets. We got 100 at one time and gave it to a little girl :) We played Nascar- he won- and went back to Deal or No Deal and ended up getting more tickets so we each got a stretchy flower ring, a bouncy ball, fun dip, and a beaded necklace for Kelson. We went to Blaine's after that to get a few drinks and just hang out. So we sat at the bar and played the touch screen game for an hour or so. It was fun. We were both pretty tired so we went to bed.

The next morning - I was up pretty early- around 8am- thanks to my work and Kelson schedule ;) so we slept in a little longer than headed to the Pancake Pantry. My girlfriend Randi raved on how good it was and indeed it was. Luckily, there wasn't a line out the door- like normal. It was raining a little, but it didn't stop us. After breakfast we went to the Ripley's aquarium- we had a really good time. There was lots of cool fish and sea creatures. There was lots of kids- so of course we missed our little one. After that excursion, we went to the World of Illusions- it freaking sucked- haha! We were laughing after it was over and we walked out and said- ok kick us in the balls one more time cause that was awful. It was sooo dang cheezy and cost $15 for us. Oh well- live and learn and we got a good laugh out of it. We went and grabbed the "infamous" sausage dog with onions and peppers- it was really good. We shared it cause we knew we had the Dixie Stampede feast coming later on. Jason took a pic of the sausage and sent it to Craig- apparently they used to get them all the time when they came together. We went back to the room for showers and to get ready to go shop at some Pigeon Forge stores and to go to the Dixie Stampede. We went to the Christmas Inn store- our fav- its ginormous and has so many unique things. I bought our pastor a ornament to thank him for Kelson's baby dedication coming up on Mother's day. Jason and I also bought ourselves a wedding anniversary present to eachother- its a Mickey Mouse collection- it was Santa looking at his list with pluto holding his sack of toys- and guess whose names were on the list- KELLY and JASON- and they were right next to eachother- we knew then we had to have it. We are going to add Kelson's name on it :) After shopping we were out of town so we went to the Dixie Stampede. They had a pre-show- which was really fun- a bluegrassy band- very talented. Then it was time for the dinner/show. I had heard from numerous people on how fun and exciting it was and indeed it was. We were on the SOUTH side :) GO SOUTH! Our waitress girl was SOOOO southern and sweet- as sweet as our sweet tea (that's for my dad). The dinner was a rotisere chicken, bbq pork loin , creamed veggie soup, biscuit, potato, and an apple turnover. It was soo yummy and you had to use your hands to eat it all. The soup came in a spout so you can sip it. The show was spectacular- fun, exciting, and the best part is Jason got volunteered to be in the horse ring toss- or what we thought was a horse ring toss. Ended up being a toilet seat toss. It was hilarious! Jason played a great part and although we lost- it was fun and def memorable. We bought the picture that they took of us- with the dixie stampede logo- since we really had none together :)
After the show we talked about going to see a movie, but we couldn't find the movie theater so we just headed back to the hotel- we were pretty tired. So we wanted to rent a movie, but no pay per view and I jumped in the jacuzzi and the jets didn't work, so that was a freaking bummer. I wrote a comment about it to the Clarion Inn- well see if they send us a complimentary something ??? ;)
The next morning we hit the OUTLETS- man alive was this fun. We had a few hours to spare so we hit all the kids clothing shops- of course- got us some new sandals, disney outlet, and many others. We got home at 5pm and Kelson was there waiting and so excited to see us- as we were to see her- and our little man eers too. We plan to do more "alone" trips as time allows. Overall it was a lot of fun and I got a few pics from our trip if you wanna check em out.

Hanging with Aunt Lisa

My best friend- since high school- came to town to visit. She currently lives in Jacksonhole, WY. I've been promising her to come see her and still haven't made it. The only time I was actually going to plan a trip- i got pregnant. So anyways, I plan on going to visit her- even if it is for a wedding ONE DAY... :) 10+years or so- hehe! Anyways, we got a chance to hang out, go get dinner, and get together another time for dinner with her family. She is the same ole girl I will always love. We had a great time and she got some QT with Kelson. We even made a joke that Kelson and Shelby (Julie's little girl) will end up babysitting for Lisa's kids one day. hehe!

Ratatouille moved in...

Well lastnight I was heading to bed and I happened to notice out of the corner of my eye something moving underneath the fridge in the kitchen. Of course I screamed and jumped up on the dining room chair- haha- what a sissy I know. When I did that I peeked over and it was indeed a little mouse- he came back out and it was like he was trying to find a way out. Although I HATE rodents he was so freaking cute. I've seen that Ratatouille movie one too many times. I was scared to death so I texted Jason (he was at his mom's watching a movie) telling him to come save me- haha! Kelson was in bed- thank goodness. Never got a hold of him so I called Lucy and she sent Brady and Jason up to help me. Jason was laughing at me for being up on the chair. Since Jason and I are both such loveable people we don't want to kill anything so we set the "hotel" trap for the mouse. Its a contraption that traps it so it doesn't harm it or kill it. A few years back we had a BAD case of the mice- we ended up catching like 14 in a month- it was AWFUL. So I'm having flashbacks of that happening again. So anyways, we set the hotel trap and went to bed and this morning he was gone from the place we last saw him and he WASN'T in the trap- :-0 So anyways, Jason said that he left the door cracked lastnight so he could get out if he wanted to since he was near the door. I said OH NICE- so he went and got all his friends and now they are gonna have a beach party! So... instead of one ratatouille we may end up with a lot of them!!! EEEEWWW! Please pray that we find him and its only the one. Anyone got any suggestions on how to get the mouse? I don't want to kill it, but I don't want it in our house either! EEEWWWW!!! Now if I come home today and he is on Jason's shoulders cooking and throwing in ingredients- I'm calling for help!!! hehe!

The "Diet" Fight

With all the events going on- Jason and my anniversary weekend and Cinco De Mayo today, my diet is not going well at all :( I think this week I will have gained, but that's ok, cause I plan on kicking it back up for the next 9 weeks :) Its so hard when you have special events come up. After i get some pics uploaded i will share my GREAT anniversary weekend. It was hard getting pics of ourselves (since we didn't trust a stranger to take it and its kinda difficult to use), but we managed to capture a couple.

Celebrating Early...

Jason and I have our 4 year anniversary coming up on the 8th, so since we have a free weekend we are heading to Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge for some alone time today! We are SOOO excited. Believe it or not- this is the first time we are going somewhere ALONE since our honeymoon trip to disney world (after the cruise with family/friends). We are really excited! We will definitely miss our little princess, but we know that Memere/Bobfather/Aunt T and Grammy/Papa will take great care of her! Its very important to have that strong bond between a mother and father- especially after a child arrives, and since his schedule has been crazy, we haven't had much HIM/I time, so now we are :)

We are going to stay at the Clarion Inn and Suites hotel in G'burg. Don't' try to find us- hehe!
We are SUPER excited! It was really funny when I was searching for rooms- the luxuries were a two person hot tub and fireplace in the room (I laughed and said I need something else- I have that at home :)) I felt pretty blessed to be able to say that. I suckered in and got the room anyway. We are planning on going to the Dixie Stampede for dinner tomorrow night and doing some FUN things and SHOPPING! They have a HUGE Christmas store that we will be sure to go to. They have fun Ripley Museums and even a Casino close by. Good restaurants and lots to do. We want to do something different and fun! Hope everyone has a great weekend.

I am gonna try like heck to eat good since we have our weigh in next week, but who knows... :) I'll get lots of exercise :) hehehehehe! LALALALALA.
