Surprise- your going to see the Hsv Orchestra

Lucy and Bob bought Jason and I tickets to see the Huntsville Symphony Orchestra for our anniversary present. I wasn't sure at first what to think about it. I do love listening to an Orchestra, but mainly when there is singing with it. Well come to find out it was the Hsv Orchestra playing songs from some of our fav movies- Star Wars, Disney, Harry Potter, and Little Shop or Horrors. So then I was excited :) Jodi Benson- the girl who was the voice of Ariel from Little Mermaid was gonna be there too.
We went to Dolce (restauraunt in Bridge Street)- it was expensive but sooooo good. I had the mushroom ravioli. I don't understand you pay more money and get less food. What a stupid concept? Anyways, since I'm dieting that was probably a good idea. We got to the VBCC Concert Hall and as we were entering we saw some storm troopers and various characters from some of the movies taking pictures with kids. We left our camera in the car- since we thought they wouldn't allow them, so I ran back to the car to get it. I RAN too in high heels- that was fun. NOT! By the time I got back they were already gone. POOP. So anyways we went to our seats and the show started. At first I wasn't sure if I would make it through it- I was really tired from the night before- they played the "Star Wars" theme and some of the characters came out- some I have no clue who they were, but Jason knew them all. hehe! Then they played the soundtrack from Raiders of the Lost Ark, Harry Potter, ET and Superman, then another movie I didn't recognize and that's when I was getting sleepy. They had intermission after that. I looked at the program to see what was coming up- I was super excited- it was the disney portion. After intermission Jodi Benson (voice of Ariel), Burke Moses (the voice of Gaston- from Beauty and the Beast), and Gary Mauer (star of Broadway's Phantom of the Opera) All three of them were phenominal singers. They took turns singing- either solo or all together. It was so much fun watching them and they were so into the music. I WISH I could have gotten video. I didn't stop smiling and I was no longer sleepy. They did a number from the Little Shop of Horrors and Jodi NAILED the part of Audrey talking/singing. Again very good. After the show, we were going to get in line and buy the Little Mermaid movie and get her signature, but the line was FOREVER long. So we got some pics with the storm troopers, superman, and other star wars characters. Jason was in heaven and like a 5yr old. It was a great night. Thank you Bob and Lucy for the memorable night.

SOOOO CUTE!!!!

I was straightening and sorting out Kelson's clothes when I ran across some of her summer bathing suits and a penguin suit that Aunt Keri had bought for her months ago. So Jason and I decided to play dress up with her. She has three different bathing suits- no not spoiled at all- hehe. One from the Annabelle collection, one that Aunt Jeannette bought her, and one that we got her. Yesterday I found another one too that I someone else had bought her at one of my showers. Jason put the penguin suit on Kelson while I was putting away clothes and they peeked in with that outfit on and my heart just jumped cause she looked soooo adorable and was smiling! We went over to show Nanny and she couldn't believe it either.
Anyways, take a peek at the MODELING world of Kelson. Its so freaking cute!
More pictures

Things about Kelson: Signs "more" VERY WELL, "fan" (when she wants to), pats herself for "i'm here" when Memere asks where her pretty girl is, holds both hands up when someone says SO BIG (grammy did that one), grunts at people, HIGH PITCH squealing when she gets excited, says Nana, Dada, and Lala.. no Mama yet:(, has two bottom teeth, goes to bed around the same time (8:30pm ish) in her own bed, loves ALL foods, loves her cheetos, drinks water very well, holds her own sippy cup, still cherishes her pacifier "pap pap" and puts it in her mouth herself. Loves to go to sleep to Olivia Newton John (thanks Papa), LOVES to watch Wonder Pets, still loves to bounce in her jumperoo, starting to wave hi and goodbye, will go to anyone (still shy around the boys though), doesn't mind to dress up (obviously), loves to play with EERS and gets excited if he runs though the house, loves to play with the remote control, loves bath time, and is so much fun!

Heartland's New Release... take a listen

They expect their new song "Slow Down" to be released in three weeks. Its such a meaningful song- really touches the heart like "I loved her first". Its so sweet. This song can be protrayed as a mother to her daughter. I REALLY feel this song ;) Its perfect for Mother's Day- i wish they could have gotten it out before then. Oh well- God has a purpose and timing for everything- maybe Father's Day :) Anyways check out their myspace page and take a listen. Heartland Myspace Link
There are two other songs on that site that will be on the album or may be one of the next releases after Slow Down. They are called Modern Day Jesse James and Thank God for the Hard Times. Both great as well. They hope to shoot a video not longer after the release and get another song ready to roll after that is complete. The label is going to push the song HARD, so let's all hope that Heartland gets another #1 or at least a top 10. I think this song will get Heartland's name back out there and back on the map :)

*Congrats to Craig and Wendy Anderson- they are expecting a baby boy in September. Finally someone else will have a boy besides Mikey ;)
*Happy 40th Bday Keith and Happy 36-37th (not sure) Mike!!!!

Happy Anniversary Baby!!!

Today is our official 4 year anniversary! 4 years of total bliss ;) I can't begin to explain how fun and eventful these last 10+ years have been with you baby. We have been through so much together- my school years, your band years, touring, road trips, numerous gigs, THE CAVE nights, dinner, movies, KELSON, family get togethers, cookouts, friends, laughter, tears, and so much more. I can't imagine anything better! I want to say thank you to our parents for being such an inspiration to us- I know things get rough- we see that first hand- but we know that love and God will pull us through anything. Thank you for showing us that!! I plan on staying married to this man FOREVER. OH- and I have to thank Uncle Paul for being the one to marry us- (don't worry you'll get another thank you on Thanksgiving- hehe). Marriage is such a whirlwind sometimes and we lose sight of things and so many people give up so easily, but I believe that its such a sacred thing and once you add kids into the mixture you really have to remain strong and passionate. Kids are such a blessing to a marriage. Having someone thats apart of each of you is something SOOOOO awesome. That's why we figured the name Kelson was sooo appropriate. Now- naming the next one may be difficult ;) Jason, thank you so much for all that you do for our family, remaining the same loving guy that I married, handling me, and always showing your loving affection. You are and always will be my prince charming!

Our Anniversary Trip in TN

Well we had a great time in Tn. We got to G'burg around 6:30pm and went straight to the hotel and got checked in. The room was very nice- had a fireplace and jacuzzi tub in the bedroom. We were starving so we got showers and headed to Bubba Gump Shrimp, Co. Restaurant. It was very good- I actually ate good too. We each had a few margaritas and headed to the shops. We WANTED to go gamble some but the cab fare was $65/each way and it was all hills and I knew drinking and winding hills wouldn't go so well together, so we passed on doing that. We went to the arcade and played a few rounds of Deal or No Deal for tickets. We got 100 at one time and gave it to a little girl :) We played Nascar- he won- and went back to Deal or No Deal and ended up getting more tickets so we each got a stretchy flower ring, a bouncy ball, fun dip, and a beaded necklace for Kelson. We went to Blaine's after that to get a few drinks and just hang out. So we sat at the bar and played the touch screen game for an hour or so. It was fun. We were both pretty tired so we went to bed.

The next morning - I was up pretty early- around 8am- thanks to my work and Kelson schedule ;) so we slept in a little longer than headed to the Pancake Pantry. My girlfriend Randi raved on how good it was and indeed it was. Luckily, there wasn't a line out the door- like normal. It was raining a little, but it didn't stop us. After breakfast we went to the Ripley's aquarium- we had a really good time. There was lots of cool fish and sea creatures. There was lots of kids- so of course we missed our little one. After that excursion, we went to the World of Illusions- it freaking sucked- haha! We were laughing after it was over and we walked out and said- ok kick us in the balls one more time cause that was awful. It was sooo dang cheezy and cost $15 for us. Oh well- live and learn and we got a good laugh out of it. We went and grabbed the "infamous" sausage dog with onions and peppers- it was really good. We shared it cause we knew we had the Dixie Stampede feast coming later on. Jason took a pic of the sausage and sent it to Craig- apparently they used to get them all the time when they came together. We went back to the room for showers and to get ready to go shop at some Pigeon Forge stores and to go to the Dixie Stampede. We went to the Christmas Inn store- our fav- its ginormous and has so many unique things. I bought our pastor a ornament to thank him for Kelson's baby dedication coming up on Mother's day. Jason and I also bought ourselves a wedding anniversary present to eachother- its a Mickey Mouse collection- it was Santa looking at his list with pluto holding his sack of toys- and guess whose names were on the list- KELLY and JASON- and they were right next to eachother- we knew then we had to have it. We are going to add Kelson's name on it :) After shopping we were out of town so we went to the Dixie Stampede. They had a pre-show- which was really fun- a bluegrassy band- very talented. Then it was time for the dinner/show. I had heard from numerous people on how fun and exciting it was and indeed it was. We were on the SOUTH side :) GO SOUTH! Our waitress girl was SOOOO southern and sweet- as sweet as our sweet tea (that's for my dad). The dinner was a rotisere chicken, bbq pork loin , creamed veggie soup, biscuit, potato, and an apple turnover. It was soo yummy and you had to use your hands to eat it all. The soup came in a spout so you can sip it. The show was spectacular- fun, exciting, and the best part is Jason got volunteered to be in the horse ring toss- or what we thought was a horse ring toss. Ended up being a toilet seat toss. It was hilarious! Jason played a great part and although we lost- it was fun and def memorable. We bought the picture that they took of us- with the dixie stampede logo- since we really had none together :)
After the show we talked about going to see a movie, but we couldn't find the movie theater so we just headed back to the hotel- we were pretty tired. So we wanted to rent a movie, but no pay per view and I jumped in the jacuzzi and the jets didn't work, so that was a freaking bummer. I wrote a comment about it to the Clarion Inn- well see if they send us a complimentary something ??? ;)
The next morning we hit the OUTLETS- man alive was this fun. We had a few hours to spare so we hit all the kids clothing shops- of course- got us some new sandals, disney outlet, and many others. We got home at 5pm and Kelson was there waiting and so excited to see us- as we were to see her- and our little man eers too. We plan to do more "alone" trips as time allows. Overall it was a lot of fun and I got a few pics from our trip if you wanna check em out.

Biggest Loser Blogger Challenge....

I'm going to add one of these each week to our WEIGH-IN processes. It will keep things fun and push you a little bit more :)
THIS WEEK'S CHALLENGE: Park your car further away so you have a greater distance to walk.

Hanging with Aunt Lisa

My best friend- since high school- came to town to visit. She currently lives in Jacksonhole, WY. I've been promising her to come see her and still haven't made it. The only time I was actually going to plan a trip- i got pregnant. So anyways, I plan on going to visit her- even if it is for a wedding ONE DAY... :) 10+years or so- hehe! Anyways, we got a chance to hang out, go get dinner, and get together another time for dinner with her family. She is the same ole girl I will always love. We had a great time and she got some QT with Kelson. We even made a joke that Kelson and Shelby (Julie's little girl) will end up babysitting for Lisa's kids one day. hehe!

Ratatouille moved in...

Well lastnight I was heading to bed and I happened to notice out of the corner of my eye something moving underneath the fridge in the kitchen. Of course I screamed and jumped up on the dining room chair- haha- what a sissy I know. When I did that I peeked over and it was indeed a little mouse- he came back out and it was like he was trying to find a way out. Although I HATE rodents he was so freaking cute. I've seen that Ratatouille movie one too many times. I was scared to death so I texted Jason (he was at his mom's watching a movie) telling him to come save me- haha! Kelson was in bed- thank goodness. Never got a hold of him so I called Lucy and she sent Brady and Jason up to help me. Jason was laughing at me for being up on the chair. Since Jason and I are both such loveable people we don't want to kill anything so we set the "hotel" trap for the mouse. Its a contraption that traps it so it doesn't harm it or kill it. A few years back we had a BAD case of the mice- we ended up catching like 14 in a month- it was AWFUL. So I'm having flashbacks of that happening again. So anyways, we set the hotel trap and went to bed and this morning he was gone from the place we last saw him and he WASN'T in the trap- :-0 So anyways, Jason said that he left the door cracked lastnight so he could get out if he wanted to since he was near the door. I said OH NICE- so he went and got all his friends and now they are gonna have a beach party! So... instead of one ratatouille we may end up with a lot of them!!! EEEEWWW! Please pray that we find him and its only the one. Anyone got any suggestions on how to get the mouse? I don't want to kill it, but I don't want it in our house either! EEEWWWW!!! Now if I come home today and he is on Jason's shoulders cooking and throwing in ingredients- I'm calling for help!!! hehe!

The "Diet" Fight

With all the events going on- Jason and my anniversary weekend and Cinco De Mayo today, my diet is not going well at all :( I think this week I will have gained, but that's ok, cause I plan on kicking it back up for the next 9 weeks :) Its so hard when you have special events come up. After i get some pics uploaded i will share my GREAT anniversary weekend. It was hard getting pics of ourselves (since we didn't trust a stranger to take it and its kinda difficult to use), but we managed to capture a couple.

Celebrating Early...

Jason and I have our 4 year anniversary coming up on the 8th, so since we have a free weekend we are heading to Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge for some alone time today! We are SOOO excited. Believe it or not- this is the first time we are going somewhere ALONE since our honeymoon trip to disney world (after the cruise with family/friends). We are really excited! We will definitely miss our little princess, but we know that Memere/Bobfather/Aunt T and Grammy/Papa will take great care of her! Its very important to have that strong bond between a mother and father- especially after a child arrives, and since his schedule has been crazy, we haven't had much HIM/I time, so now we are :)

We are going to stay at the Clarion Inn and Suites hotel in G'burg. Don't' try to find us- hehe!
We are SUPER excited! It was really funny when I was searching for rooms- the luxuries were a two person hot tub and fireplace in the room (I laughed and said I need something else- I have that at home :)) I felt pretty blessed to be able to say that. I suckered in and got the room anyway. We are planning on going to the Dixie Stampede for dinner tomorrow night and doing some FUN things and SHOPPING! They have a HUGE Christmas store that we will be sure to go to. They have fun Ripley Museums and even a Casino close by. Good restaurants and lots to do. We want to do something different and fun! Hope everyone has a great weekend.

I am gonna try like heck to eat good since we have our weigh in next week, but who knows... :) I'll get lots of exercise :) hehehehehe! LALALALALA.

We go Walking... after midnight...

Ok well before midnight, but one day a few weeks ago, Jason and I decided to go for walk with Kelson (in her hot pink Jeep stroller). She looked so cute. We wanted to get out for a while- it was really nice outside. We walked a mile or so and just enjoyed the alone time and getting some exercise in. Grammy had bought Kelson a Florida Tech t-shirt before she was born and she was now able to wear it, so her and I wore our t-shirts. Those of you who don't know I got my masters at FL tech.
Kelson used to wear sunglasses no problem and now she won't keep them on :( I guess she realized that she has a choice so she takes them off. When we were finishing up our walk I noticed she didn't have them on or in her stroller, so we had to hunt, but luckily we found them not far from where we were and they had not been run over, so that was good. We had a good time and hope to do this more this spring/summer. I don't get a chance to work out with Jason since I go to an all girls gym, so its something good for all of us.

My cheesy girl!!!

Lately Kelson has been doing this "cheesy" face. She will all of the sudden just throw out a HUGE grin- its hilarious. She loves to do it while she's eating. She is so much fun right now. So much going on. She is really starting to learn her sounds- she now says lots of dada, nana, lala, but still no mama :( I've been working with her on blowing kisses (some days she does it- when she's in the mood) hehe! She is doing the "more" sign (again- when she's in the mood). She looks at the lights when I ask her where the light is and then I do the sign and move it slowly to her face- she likes that. Also she's been pointing the fan and moving her hand around (almost like the sign for fan). Let's see what else- she waves occasionally. She has two bottom teeth. No sign of anything else yet. Goes to sleep around 8:30pm and wakes up around 7:30am- this is pretty consistent. She still LOVES her bouncy. I bet that Kelson will be walking before crawling. We put her down on the ground but all she really does it roll around. I'm in no rush for her to walk- that's just harder on me to keep an eye on her. I love to cuddle with Kelson and get big hugs from her. She doesn't mind giving them either :) She does like to "baby" talk a lot. Its so cute. She loves EERS and tries to give him all her treats. Eers has been a little more jealous lately and wanting attention, so when I took Kelson to Grammy's yesterday I let him come along. I think he really liked that. I do try to show him attention and love on him, but it gets hard :) He's been following me around lately.
Jason's been out of town since Sat morning. He is in Tx playing in a softball tourn that his manager (at the label) puts on each year. He said that they are in the #1 spot right now (have only lost one game). Mike and Charles is out there too. I don't get to talk to him much, cause he's really in the country and there is no signal. It sucks cause I'm used to talking/texting him a few times a day.

Biggest Loser Blogger Competition Begins... April 28th!

Ok girls its time! I hope you've already started eating better and drinking your water :) I know everyone is anxious to get started!

Each Wednesday (starting May 7th) I want you to sign into my blog at albertsland.blogspot.com and write down your total weight loss so far, inches (if you are tracking them), and any hints or cool things that may have happened (ex: I lost a dress size, someone told me I looked like I was losing weight, I took a class at the gym and its been years, etc…) something cool or exciting! I don't require that you write how much your starting weight is on the comment section. Please weigh in on your own (or meet up with us Wed) and well track it that way. I just think its easier to all be together, then we can do it again at the LAST weigh in so the machine is accurate. If you want to weigh in and measure yourself then please do and send those numbers to me VIA e-mail, not on my blog this week. Also please take a before pic of yourself (in some tight fitting clothes- preferably workout clothes) so we can do some before and after pics! I will have my camera with me on Wed, so if you don't have time- I can take care of doing that too.

IMPORTANT: Wednesday I plan all of us who are local to meet up at Lady Riveria at 5pm- I want to get a weigh in, measurements, and before pictures. I will get permission for those non-Lady Riveria gym members to come weigh in.

I need your $30, so please send me the money this week so I know you are serious about starting this competition.

Good luck and talk to you soon!

PS- if you find any good recipes, tips, or workouts- please share those with the others on my blog (comment section)!
PSS- Make sure you have access to my blog!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I've added you all on my permissions tab!!!!

The biggest loser... INFORMATION UPDATE

Well it looks like the number of contestants is growing, which means.... MORE MONEY for the winner :) After talking to some of the local crowd who are participating, we talked about doing some "FUN" events to go along during the competition. Ex: "Weight Watchers" meals pot luck at someone's house then going to do a fun activity- bowling, put put, (something that requires movement) ;) So its not going to be just an average sign in each week thing. This is going to be fun and self-challenging. What do you guys think of meeting up next week sometime (maybe Wed)- weighing in, measuring, and taking before pics (courtesy of my camera)? For the out of town folks, please take a BEFORE picture and then take your measurements(Chest, arms, waist, thighs, and hips). I'm sorry you can't partake in the activities, but if you have people around you to do this with- let me know and well sign em up. I can't wait to get started and it sounds like you guys are getting excited too!

I had my BAD meal of the week lastnight at Terranova! I'm going to try and get it all out of my system this weekend so I'm ready to go on Monday! For those of you who want to join the gym- I attend Lady Riveria and LOVE it. They have so many classes and a great variety of cardio machines and free weights. I'll be happy to start you a program if you want :) They have people who can train you as well if you feel more comfortable going that route. Several of you already have accounts, so I'll see you there :) We can even meet up for classes sometime. Whatever you want to do, but I plan on winning :) he he! Bring it on!!!!!

PS- I need each contestant to somehow get me the $30 next week.

Hanging with the relatives

This past weekend we had some family come to town for a visit. Aunt Claire, Cousin Rebecca, Rob's parents- Jim and Louise Sims, and a friend of the family, Debbie. We had a great time hanging out with all of them. Thurs night we went to dinner at Casa Blanca- imagine that- hehe- we had to show it off. Jason had to leave Thurs morning, so he didn't get to see them. Friday night we went to Jeannette's for dinner and games. It was a lot of fun. We played Family Feud and my team won- it was me, Brady, mom, aline, lucy, and louise. It was a lot of fun and loud. Kelson was a good girl and slept in the crib upstairs. By the time we were ready to go (around 11) Becca wanted to spend the night, so she did. Kelson woke up when we got her up and she DID NOT want to go back to sleep, so I didn't go to sleep that night till almost 2. Luckily she wasn't too loud- just fussy so Becca got some sleep :) Anyways, Becca and I went and worked out at the gym- it was fun having a partner. My arms are still sore from lifting the free weights. Then we went home- got showers - then we went to look at dead people and trees- hehe. The aunts wanted to go see the dogwood trees at the cemetary, so we did. It was very pretty outside. I saw a few babies tombstones and I immediatly started crying. I couldn't handle that. We were playing a game trying to find the OLDEST grave we could. I think we ended up with someone dying in 1838. The trees were pretty. We had lunch at the Market Street Cafe- in Providence- it was really yummy. Def will go back there again. After all that excitement we went back home and they cooked out. We got to watch Jason's show live on the internet at countrythunder.com. It was awesome to see him perform again. Rebecca and I went out on the town to Sammy's T's to go see David Allan Coe. Good lord that man is homely. He sang for an hour straight- didn't stop to breathe- he was good, but you could tell that he was just hammered. Our buddies band, Backwater, opened for them, so that was fun too. We ended up back home around 2 and I convinced Rebecca to crawl through Lucy and Bob's window to get us some grub. It was hilarious. I just about pissed myself.Neither one of us ate before we left so we were starving. We were trying to be quiet too, and I guess we were since no one knew we were there rading the fridge. So we ate and went to bed. Had coffee and breakfast and they left Sunday afternoon. I didn't do much, but lay around the house taking naps with Kelson. It was very relaxing.

Look out World...

Kelson is so freaking smart. We have been doing patty cake with her for a few months now and now she is doing it all on her own, even the pick pick part (Canadian french version). Its so cute. Lucy (aka Memere) has been teaching her something for the last few days and she just started doing it yesterday. She says- De vous la belle fille a Memere? (Where is Grandma's pretty girl?) and now Kelson points to herself and Memere says Oui, ici ici ici- which means yes- here, here, here- I'm going to try and capture it on video. Its so cute! Everyone was amazed. She picks up things so quick. I'm trying to learn French along with Kelson so come next year when I'm in Europe I can talk some french. She is doing the sign "more" by bringing her hands together and sorta clapping. She's really so much fun! Like a sponge. Picking up all kinds of things. She has two teeth now, she knows who her family is, she still says Dada and Lala- nothing more yet. She loves to be on her stomach and tries to crawl, but I think she'll be walking before too long. Esp since she's been building up her leg muscles by using her jumperoo for months.

New pics

I went and saw Jack Thomas White (7 lbs/ 19 1/2 inches long). I couldn't believe how small he was. He is soooo adorable. I just couldn't imagine that Kelson was that small, but I know it wasn't long ago. He slept the whole time. He was pooping, so I went in to help change the diaper- what a difference. I didn't mind- Michele is still getting used it to. She seems to be handling motherhood great and is in good health as well. So happy for them!

The Biggest Loser... BLOGGER STYLE...

Ok- so I've been thinking... why can't we have our own "lose the weight" contest? I want to get back to my PRE-Kelson weight and I truly believe I can do it, but what's funner than having a contest with friends/family. GIRLS ONLY!!! :)

If you want/need to lose more than 30-35 lbs, then sign up here!!! Each contestant will put in $30 at the beginning and whomever loses the most inches/weight/body fat combination after 3 months (doing dieting and exercising) will win the pot of money! I'm not sure how many people want to enter, but I think we could get a good amount of people to enter and the pot could be HUGE. I'm going to require EACH contestant each week to input how much they have lost for that week (by leaving a comment)- to keep us all going and excited and motivated. I want you to include inches, lbs, and body fat. We all have to have a starting point and show our progression each week on the blog. In order to compete- you HAVE to really need to lose weight- no 5 lbs mess.

So who's interested???

Annoying LIGHTS

Why does EVERYTHING in the world have to have a light on it? I get so frustrated with this. I mean sometimes its nice to have a little night light to go to sleep to or something to soothe you so you can see when you get up in the middle of the night, but when everything has a little light its annoying. Ex: I went into Kelson's room lastnight to put her to sleep and it was like a freaking fireworks show in there. Light from the cd player, light from the humidifier, light from the wipe warmer. Its so annoying. At least its the suddle blue light, but still. Maybe its just me. I like it to be DARK at night night time. Even my radio has that dang light that I can't stand. I guess Kelson is used to it cause she sleeps ok- but it annoys the crap out of me. Maybe its just me!!!???

Teefy #2- "This is serious"... :)

I was changing Kelson's diaper the other day and reached down to give her kisses and noticed ANOTHER tooth is coming in right next to her other one. I can't believe how fast they came in. She hasn't been fussy or acting like its bothering her. Another blessing :) What a girl! She is soo much fun. Saying Lalalala all the time now. Can LA LA be considered her second word? I'm still holding out for mama!
Also, I've introduced the Wonder Pets to the Albert grandparents and some of their family members- so now they are singing the songs and saying "This is serious"- hehe (for all the Ming Ming fans out there). Jason and I now talk/sing about everyday stuff to the "wonder pets tune". We LOVE the phrase- "this is serious". So cute/funny to incorporate that into our lives as well- hehe! Kelson loves to watch this show! I don't mind either. Dora is still fun and educational too. Excellete! I took Espanol uno and dos in high school, but I enjoy learning some new words. Esp since I am a HUGE casa blanca restaurant fan. It would be nice to speak back to them. Margarita por favor. Gracias. Muy Excellente.

ANYWAYS .. life goes on... (See blog below)

Well Kelson is saying LALALALA now. Its so cute. She goes up and down while she says it- like she is singing it. Yesterday, I loved her first came on the radio and Kelson started saying Dadda Lalalaa. I was like Yes baby- Dada is singing. It may have been a coincidence, but it was pretty cool- she's so smart! Kelson's singing career is starting to begin- hehe!

As you know the weekend was fun- until the wedding band incident (read the blog below). But Friday night was a take it easy night. Sat was run errands day- went to Kohl's- bought some FUN stuff. I ordered 250 pics from my kodakgallery (I was way behind on pics). So I bought some frames and stuff for that. Got some Oreck vaccum bags- they are pretty expensive, but the Oreck is awesome- thank you Connie for that. Then made a trip to Wal-Mart. Sharee called me and wanted me to come hang out with them and since I don't drink and drive, daddy took me to the Hog Wild bar and picked me up :) What a dad!!! Sunday I WANTED to clean house, but never even got to it. Kelson and I met up with some friends for lunch- Natasha, Michele, Rhonda, and Vicki. It was a lot of fun!!! I REALLY enjoyed getting a chance to sit down and catch up. I told them we need to do that once a month. Kelson was a HIT at Ruby Tuesdays. There was a family sitting behind us that she was just grunting and talking to- it was adorable and they loved it too. Course commented on her and loved her name :) I still LOVE it too. I had several people come up and tell me how "baby doll" like she was. AWWWW. There was a young girl- prob around 10- that kept staring at Kelson and when she was leaving she came over to her and just held her hand and said how beautiful she was. It was soooo sweet. Her mom apologized, but said that she wanted to see her up close sooo bad. I told her it was no problem at all and she could play with her :) Things like that just do things to your heart. Kelson was on her best behavior too- she was sooo much fun. Michele is getting ready to have Jack- two more weeks- she looks so cute. After lunch we went over to her house to see the nursery and just to catch up some more. It was a great afternoon. Natasha- Kelson's Aunt santa clause :)- bought Kelson two more outfits that are simply ADORABLE. A lady bug onesie- with socks and a hat and a froggy onesie with a bow and socks. She also got her a few other bows. She is so sweet and always finds the CUTEST things. What a girl! Thank you Aunt Natasha!!!
After we got home- family was hanging at the cave- so we joined. It was nice having the day with friends, family, and my little girl. Jason will be home tonight- he is sooooo ready and so are we! He had a disaster re-assigned flight schedule out to Alaska, but the return has been much better. He said the show was LOTS of fun and a great crowd. Said he ate some of the BEST salmon ever- even has a guy who is going to ship some to us on dry ice- yum! He gets to be home with us for the next 14 days! YEA!!! We are going to the cabins this weekend- can't wait. Kyle and Renee are joining us for a night too- I'm so excited. Its been since Christmas since I've seen him.

Down the shoot...

Had a fun-filled weekend UNTIL I lost my wedding band in the toilet :( Went out with some friends Sat night and I had to use the potty and my dang wedding band slipped right off my finger and into the toilet. I then realized the toilet was an automatic flush and tried not to move, but when I tried to reach in, they trigger went off and the ring was GONE. I freaked out!!! I bawled like a baby all night. My daddy came and picked me up from the bar to take me home. I tried to call Jason, but since the time difference was way off in Alaska- he was still playing- I left him a message crying. I was so devistated. LUCKILY- it wasn't my engagement ring- just the band. The engagement ring's diamond has been loose so I didn't wear it out- THANK GOD. My wedding band was a little loose on my finger so I guess that's why it slipped off so easily. Jason finally called me and told me everything was alright and that it was an accident. Daddy took good care of his little girl- he made me a grilled cheese sandwhich and rubbed my head till I fell asleep- what a GREAT daddy!
I can't believe how devistated I was. I know that the most valuable thing is still there- no matter what- but it was horrible. I'm horrible with jewelry so i knew it would happen sometime, but not so soon ;) I'm mean our 4 yr anniversary is next month! I guess we have to get another one sometime, but no rush since it was kinda expensive. I have what really matters so the jewelry can wait :)

What is this world coming to???

I went to the gym yesterday and normally turn on my ipod and boogie to the songs, but Oprah was on and the show was about a man that was having a baby. Immediately I stopped and turned the ipod to hear what this was all about. I have to admit that I was pretty grossed out- esp by the pics of the man (shirtless and pregnant) and his wife behind him in the picture holding his stomach. He was hairy and it was just weird!
Well come to find out THOMAS used to be Tracy. So apparently He is still a she, but has taken some testosterone to grow hair and had some minor surgery to remove his/her breasts. The testosterone has caused her private area to swell and grow into a little pee pee. Which also freaks me out and he mentioned that he is able to have intercourse with his wife. He said - size doesn't matter right? Of course the whole crowd laughed. So anyways, I guess since Thomas still has her womb, she is able to be pregnant. They interviewed neighbors, families, etc.. most were ok with it, but I'm still a little freaked out by it.
THEN.. I quit watching and turned on my ipod and the song "Beautiful" by Christina Aguilera was on and I started tearing up thinking about the words and watching the tv about that couple and then I had remorse for thinking they were weirdos. As long as they are happy and that baby is healthy and happy- its their life.

What do you guys think?

The ALMOST April Fool's Joke...

I woke up around 1am Tues morning- thanks to EERS whining cause it was storming outside- I happened to see that it was 4/1 on the clock and immediately thought of April Fools. In the past I've played a few pranks on family- one year I got Lucy GOOD by saying that Jason and I were not getting married and we had a huge fight, etc.. this was a month before our wedding! I think this is a fun day :) Anyways, so I thought to myself- SELF- you could really get Jason good right now since he doesn't realize its April 1st and its 1 in the morning. So i laid there for a few minutes and just couldn't get out what I wanted to say. I wanted to be facing away from him - knowing the he was awake my either rubbing his back or something- and say-Well baby I think I'm pregnant again... without looking at him cause I know I would laugh. I know his reaction would be :-0 then I would say- I just feel like I did when I was first prego with Kelson. Then he would say something to me and then I'd say I'll go to the store in the morning and purchase an April Fools test. haha! I never got the balls to do this- I think it was because I didn't want to jinx myself and wind up pregnant again so early. So i did tell him last night that I was going to play this joke on him. He said he wouldn't of been happy nor would he have talked to me for two days... hahaha! I just giggled and told asked him how he would have reacted. He said that he would be happy- I said What? You wanna have a baby again already- he said well no not really, but if you were- I wouldn't mind. He always knows the right thing to say :) What a guy! That's why I married him! and a few other reasons ;) Anyways, I guess its good I didn't play the joke on him, but I did want to share my ALMOST April fools joke with you guys.

My new job.... AND Heartland Update

Well my new job is going good. the pace is defintily picking up. We are working towards a deadline, so everyone is working lots of OT. I'm hoping to surpass that, but help out where I can :) So far everything is going good. Nice group of folks. Its so nice to feel comfortable around a group again and recognize people. Hard to believe I've been here for a month already. Time sure does fly.

HEARTLAND
The boys were in the studio yesterday and are back in today. They are recording three more songs. One of them will be the next single- they are working with a VERY well known producer- James Stroud. He's produced a lot of the big name artists, so they are in good hands. Their follow up release will be one of the four they've already recorded. Things are starting to come together. I believe they are going to try to shoot a video soon too.
They are headed to ALASKA this weekend for a show- how fun. We hope they are given some time to "hang out" but were not sure.

Easter Sunday

What a wonderful Easter weekend!!! Our family got up Easter morning to get ready for church. Mom and dad were coming to pick us three up around 10 and believe it or not- we were all dressed and ready by then ;) Thank you Lucy for helping out. She even bought Kelson's easter dress- it was sooooo adorable and perfect. I loved it! So pink and girly. Anyways, mom and dad arrived and we headed to Pineview Baptist Church- the preacher was my old youth paster who I adored, so I was very excited to go. We actually got to church BEFORE it started- that's a first for us too- hehe! Bro. Joey was so excited to see us all there. Jason even had a few fans there and came to say hi :) Very cute. Kelson was a HUGE hit and really seemed to enjoy the singing portion. She started to get tired, so mom and I took her out for a few min to get her settled and she fell asleep. Bro. Joey is NOT a quite preacher, but I wanted to listen to the sermon, so we went back in, and Kelson didn't wake up at all until the very end. She did SO good. They had a communion service and Kelson was starting at the cracker and juice- so I gave her a sip of it (aka Jesus blood), so she's already headed in the right direction :) hehe! After the service they were having an Easter egg hunt. So we followed all the kids and adults outside to the Easter Egg areas. I went in and grabbed Kelson 2 eggs- everyone kept calling me a cheater and I was like WHAT? She's 7 months she can't walk over there and get em. Well little did I know- they hadn't started the hunting yet- they were all standing there waiting patiently and here comes this adult and steals 2 eggs. haha! Oops. So we got her eggs- some more pics- and went over to Aunt Nin's for brunch.

Sweet Uncle George made Kelson her own pancake breakfast and boy did she love it. We took more pics with the family at Nin's house and we got her cracking up at some things too, so that made for a great time. She is defintly our entertainment now. Such a pretty and fun girl.

Then we went back to the Alberts and took some MORE pics of Kelson in the flowers with her pretty dress, with her Easter presents, and in the bunny suit (thank you Aunt Keri). She is such a good sport. After all the photo sessions, she was tired and done for the day. So we all got into comfy clothes and just hung out together. Watching tv, movies, munching on snacks, and then we had a delicious dinner.

What a great Easter weekend. Thank you family for making it a special one for us. Boy do I have lots of pictures to buy :)

Heartland's song has made it to SPACE...

We got several text messages this past weekend about "I loved her first" being played in space, so I went online Sunday night to see if that was true and it was here is the article I found. HOW AWESOME

Shuttle Crew Wake up for Fifth Spacewalk Day
22 March 2008 12:52 p.m. EDT

HOUSTON - Astronauts aboard NASA's shuttle Endeavour are awake and alert for their record fifth spacewalk in a single flight at the International Space Station (ISS).

Mission Control here at NASA's Johnson Space Center woke the crew at 12:28 p.m. EDT (1628 GMT) with the song "I Loved Her First" by the band Heartland, a song about a father and his daughter played for Endeavour skipper Dominic Gorie.

"Good morning Endeavour, and good morning to you Dom," NASA astronaut Alvin Drew radioed up to the shuttle crew.

"Good morning, Houston, and recently my daughter just got engaged so that song so very special to us," said Gorie, of his daughter Kimberly. "Baby, I love you and wish you the very best."

Gorie and his crew are gearing up for their fifth spacewalk outside the ISS, an excursion by Robert Behnken and Mike Foreman to relocate Endeavour's inspection boom to the station exterior and inspect the outpost's balky starboard solar array joint.

"Thanks for that great song, wonderful morning here for Bob and Mike to get up and get going on a spacewalk, number five out of five," Gorie said. "It's going to be a great one."

Jason is going to try and contact someone to get a signed picture sent to him :) Sweet Alabama boys!

Easter Saturday at the Alberts

We woke up to a BEAUTIFUL Easter Saturday! Since everyone (family) had things going on Sunday and there was a chance of rain, we celebrated the holiday a day earlier. We started with some good music- courtesy of DJ Bob- and we all enjoyed my hammock for a while. Kelson stayed with Aunt Nin the night before- we partied at Ruggby's- so she was bringing her over around noon and we were all ancy to have her back with us. It was hilarious. It was like we didn't know what to do without her :) So anyways, the ladies fixed YUMMY appetizers and we nibbled on those for a few hours before dinner. We played a Slap Nuts tournament- Daddy and Mommy ended up winning two games and were the champions. Way to go- esp since mom had never played. I was on a team with Aline and even though she was new to the game, she did great too. Slap Nuts is so much fun and harder than it looks. From the pics you can prob understand it. Each team gets three ropes- which the ropes have golf balls tied to the ends of each side. The point of the game is to try to swing the ropes around the three tiered poles. Top level is 1 pt, middle level is 2 pts, bottom is 3 pts. Depending on what you want you can play to either 15 or 21. Its so much fun. Rob and Jason made the one we have.
While we were having festivies, Kelson and I decided to color eggs. We had so much fun doing this- she got OVER IT rather quickly, but we had a fun time while it lasted. She was trying to overturn the bowls of color, but I managed to keep her back enough. We colored about 2 doz eggs. Elliot- Louise's grandson would have partaked, but he was out of town with his mommy. coloring eggs was so much fun and really brought me back to when I was a little kid. We LOVED to color eggs. Now they have so many options too. Tattoos for your eggs, bright colors, stickers, etc.. I hope that tradition never dies!!! Louise and Mom wrote everyone's name on an egg and hid them while we played more games. So we had an adult easter egg hunt- we had to find our own egg and the surprise was: NO WASHING DISHES for dinner. Well Macie- Heather- our neighbor's little girl- found Kelson's right away for me. Then it took me a few min, but I found mine. They did some GREAT hiding, cause Bob never found his until I hinted where it was. It was fun watching all these adults hunting eggs. Wish I would have gotten some pics, but I was busy hunting myself. Chris was the loser- hehe! We had a great time and about that time it was getting dark and time for dinner. We ate a wonderful smoked ham and scalloped potatoes. I was craving some dessert so after Aunt Weeza and Memere Lucy took Grand Memere back to the home, they picked up some HOT donuts for us. YUM! We watched "Enchanted" - cute cute movie and ate donuts. Great way to end the night.See more Easter Weekend Pics

Baby Shower for Michele...

Natasha, Stacey, Lynn, Karen, and I all hosted an AWESOME baby shower for Michele on March 16th. We had a great time getting all the details done and decor ideas together. There was so much awesome food- I think several recipes were given- hehe- and the block cake was a huge hit. It was made my Stacey's sister. If you are looking for a unique cake- contact Stacey. She's great- and it tasted just as good as it looked. She made my Baby Shower cake too and I loved it. Natasha had so many adorable ideas for party decor- she is really good at things like that. It was such a joy to give something so wonderful, memorable, and sweet to a friend. Michele DOES NOT look like she is going to be pushing out a baby very soon, but you can def tell that Jack is in there now- so precious. Made me miss being pregnant, but then I got over it- hehe. I'll be doing that again in a few years, so no rush. I'm gonna enjoy having Kelson first. Michele got many wonderful presents and had a great turnout. Kelson got Jack a "Jimmy Buffett" lullabies CD- I think it was perfect! I hope she gets good use out of it like I have from my Beach Boys and Eagles lullaby CD's. If you guys are looking for a unique baby shower present- you need to check out the "artist" lullaby CD's. They are great for music lovers. Well I would say that everything went great. Michele got us some cute monagrammed tote bags as a thank you. Good luck Michele..Now... comes the fun part... :)

Tiki Tiki Tiki Tiki Cave

Jason and I took these pics a few weeks back, but I wanted to share since they were sooo cute. She is such a princess. The weather was GORGEOUS so we decided to treat it like a beach day. Kelson was sooo cute in her beach hat- from Belle- and her little Lion King Attire- from mommy and daddy. I remember buying that outfit- with matching shoes- before Kelson was born thinking it was gonna take forever for her to fit in that. But it sure did go by fast. Its just as sweet as I hoped it would be. She has a thumper onesie with matching shoes too.
We took random pics of Kelson in the cave, around the cave, and sitting on the dock of the cave :) She is so photogentic and as you can tell- a HAPPY baby.

See more pics of Kelson at the cave here

What a busy week

well as you know, Kelson said her first word- Dada and then a few days later her first tooth broke threw. How exciting. She's had a busy week. Lucy had mentioned that it took a while for Jason's teeth to come in, so I'm gonna check his baby book and see exactly how long. She also said that when Jason was getting his braces put on- they had to pull some of this baby teeth. OUCH. I tried to get a picture of her tooth coming in, but it was really blurry and she was not excited us digging her mouth. Such a drama queen :)

Kelson's First Word...

DADA!!!! :0) Jason is VERY proud.
Yesterday while Kelson, Jason, and I were down at Memere's house (I was uploading new songs to my ipod, Jason was in the kitchen helping decide on dinner with Jeannette, and Kelson was in her bouncy bounce) we were all doing our thing and Kelson was doing her normal GRRRRRRAAAAA- that she likes to do. Its like a growl from a dinosaur or something. She has been doing this for the last week or so. But this time she was saying Dadaaaaaa daadddaaaaa.. we all stopped what we were doing all turned to look at her- we all started laughing and she continued doing it. It was sooo precious. I went into the livingroom and said- are you saying dada? What happened to mama? (joking with her of course) and she just smiled and growled and said daddddaaaa again. It was precious. I'm so excited that she is finally starting to use words. Although she has NO IDEA what it means, well I don't think so at least, its cute to hear her say it. I've always heard that's usually the first word to come out. So at 7 months and 1 week old- she has said her first word.
This morning as I was getting ready for work and Jason was in the shower, Kelson was entertaining herself and just finished her bottle and started saying Daddaddd again, so i grabbed my cell phone and managed to capture her. She's so smart.
The signing hasn't really picked up much, but we are constantly doing it. Maybe in a month or so she will be saying a few words and signing back to us :)
Enjoy the video...COMMENT IF YOU'D LIKE :)

Just call us J LO...

No, not because of our big ole butts ;)hehe. My girlfriend/co-worker and I are taking online classes to become Professional Bridal Consultants (aka Wedding Planners). No its not a scheme to meet Matthew McConaughey, although I wouldn't mind meeting him, he's so freaking hot! Anyways, we have been talking about possibly one day opening our own wedding planning biz so we are both taking the class and WHEN we pass we will get a career diploma from Penn Foster. Boeing is even paying for it- what a cool place :) Saved us $800/each. I already attained my masters on Boeing's dime a few years back and in return they are giving me 100 shares of stock in Oct for doing so :) Can't lose on that deal!
Anyways, Randi and I are going strong on this! She is way ahead of me on the classes, I've slacked, but I'm trying hard to catch up. They let you do it at your own pace, so its very convenient. Penn Foster sends you the study guides to start and as you take online tests, they send you the next round of work. Randi has assisted a few brides with their weddings, free of charge, to gain experience. She really believes this is something she could pursue. She even got a call back for an interview for a wedding coordinator's assistant. She is SUPER excited and I truly believe she will get it. Its only part time so she can still work at Boeing and pursue this on the side. After we finish the class, we are going to take the test to become a member of the ABC (Association of bridal consultants). Wish us luck :) Soon we'll have to order our headsets and feed a cute toast to the best man via ear monitor!

Hitting the Scale...

Well I won't give you my starting weight- hehe- but I have lost 2 lbs so far :) Its hard to go to the gym consistently when Jason is home, but I'm gonna make myself. Its only an hour or so a day and it will pay off in the end. I want to lose a total of 35 lbs, so I have 33 left to go! hehe! Also, my pre-pregnancy buddy Stacey still has a gym membership left(way to recruite friends and get free months) :) So we are gonna start going together again- at least 3 days a week. Then I can do my additional workouts on my own. Its gonna be a lot harder to get back to where I was because of how stretched out my stomach became from being prego, but I'm gonna do my best.

Also, I'm now on Chapter 27 of Harry Potter. Almost done. Its getting SOOO good. I've slowed down cause I've passed Jason so i'm letting him catch up :)

Stacey is having a cyst removed on March 20th, so please be sure to say a little prayer for her that all goes well. It should be an easy procedure, but every little prayer helps.

Bunny time...

Well I figured since I was late getting the St. Patty's picture out, I would be early getting her Easter picture out :) Jason, Kelson, and I went to the Madison Sq Mall yesterday to get Kelson's picture made with the Easter Bunny. I wasn't sure what she was going to do, but still being so young, i figured she would do pretty well. Got her all "spring"ed up and put on a cute little dress and headed to the mall. She took a little nap on the way- which was good- so I knew she would be in a good mood. Well we got there and there wasn't a line at all- just one mother with her two kids, so we jumped in line, and prepped her for the picture. Let her stare at the Easter Bunny for a while- she was SOOO funny looking at him/her- hard to tell-hehe. I WISH we were allowed to have our camera/video camera to capture her expressions but oh well. There was a family walking by- who was OOOING and AAWWing over Kelson's dress, shoes, tights, and earrings. Two little girls were like "Mommy look". They wanted to stop and come see her- it was SO cute. Jason and I were just gleaming with pride. Kelson really is an adorable little girl. Most people refer to her as a babydoll cause of her rosey cheeks and blue eyes. Anyways, it was our turn -I was SOOO excited and I stuck her on the Easter bunny's lap and she just looked up and turned back at the camera and smiled. It was PERFECT. I looked and approved the picture and couldn't believe how quick it was. Jason and I were like "Its a wrap" :) So i purchased 4 3x5's and a CD so I could upload the picture and order an 8x10 on kodakgallery.
We went directly to the Disney Store after visiting the Easter Bunny. OF COURSE. hehe. We got Kelson a winnie the pooh easter bunny stuffed animal and a thumper pin to put in her "pin" book to remember that day. We went around to some other stores- bought myself a new phone cover- very cute, Jason traded in some old Xbox 360 games and bought a new one, we got a garlic pretzel with cheese and Kelson LOVED it, then we went to Children's Place- they were having a sale. Another place that Kelson was popular. Its so much fun buying clothes for her. Esp with the cute spring stuff thats coming out. We had made our rounds and was ready to go, so we headed back to the car and was loading up and UH OH.. I couldn't find the Easter Bunny pics ANYWHERE. I was freaking out and thought- OMG- I have to go through all the stores again to find it. I remembered having it last in the Disney Store- I showed the lady behind the counter Kelson's pic, so I went there first and there was a new shift in. I explained to the NEW lady behind the counter and OMG- it was there. I must have laid it down after I showed her the picture to pay. Thank goodness cause thats all the memory we had and I had already changed her and we paid $40 for that stuff. Thank you Lord. We went to eat at Longhorn after our visit to the mall. Kelson sat in a highchair- with my jacket and her blanket as support and played with her toys and I fed her some food and milk. She was having a great time. She got sleepy- and so did I- so we headed home- and her and I read a book and then she went night night and daddy went out to see a band for St. Pattys Day. What a wonderful day with my family!!!!

Happy Belated St. Patty's Day...

Sorry i'm late posting this, but I got busy yesterday. We had SOOO much fun with this photo shoot. Kelson was such a good model and was so happy. We got some adorable pics of her. I hope everyone had a wonderful St. Patty's Day. We ate our corned beef and cabbage Sunday night- compliments of Emeril Jason. It was DELISH. Corned beef and cabbage is one of my fav dishes. Jason went out to see "Cross Canadian Ragweed" lastnight at Crossroads with some buddies of his, but I stayed home since I had Kelson and had to work the next morning. Miss Responsible- I know :) hehe!
Visit our kodakgallery for more pics of "St Patty's Day Kelson". There are some adorable shots! That's my girl! :)

Hanging with Friends...

A girlfriend of mine, Stacey- my old workout buddy- brought her kids over to visit. They are sweet kids. So cute too. It was neat to see Kelson around other kids and one that is younger than her. Lola is 3 months younger and almost the same size as Kelson :) Charlie is 4 or 5 - I can't remember. He is a sweetheart. He wanted to take pics with Kelson and we asked him if she was his girlfriend and he said YES- AAWWWW. I hope one day that Kelson and Lola become good friends and go shop, work out, and hang out together like Stacey and I do.

Happy 29th Bday to ME :)

In Alabama you never know what the weather is going to be like... I woke up Sat morning (my bday) to snow on the ground. It was AWESOME. Then.. I got a happy bday phone call from my niece singing to me. It was so sweet. Keri had sent me a present a few days back and wanted me to open it with her on the phone. I got a wallet that I wanted (that she accidently told me she was going to get by including me on the e-mail) :) and a gift card to Bed, Bath, and Beyond. I LOVE that place. There was another package to open. I initially wasn't sure what it was (looked like a little notebook) and then I opened it and there was a letter that stated- READ ME- so I started reading it- With Keri on the phone- and it said that she was starting to save up money for this year to take me to EUROPE for my 30th bday next year!! I started crying- I couldn't believe it- I've always wanted to go there. The note was in a passport holder. What an awesome treat and I don't mind turning 30 AT ALL now :) What an awesome sister I have. Course I have lots of people that want to join in the fun. Thank you sis.
About that time- Kelson woke up so I let Keri go and went to get Kelson. She was in her "happy morning" mood, so I knew it was a good time to go take pics. I left her PJ's on and just added a few layers and grabbed her raincoat- only coat I had that was thick enough. So we went outside and I took a few pics of the yard, eers, and Kelson. As i was walking out, Lucy and Theana, were coming out with the dogs, so they assisted me. I got a few shots of Kelson sitting on the cave dock in the snow. Lucy mentioned she had a winter coat, so she grabbed it and we got a few more shots. Kelson didn't have much of an expression- she was cold- haha! A few times she reminded me of the little boy from A Christmas Story movie. "I can't put my arms down"- hehe! She was a great sport. We were heading inside to Memere's house to warm up and drink some hot chocolate and BAM... eers ran off- got off his chain somehow. So I passed Kelson to Theana and started running after eers. He DID NOT want to come back - he just kept going and going. So I was freezing since I just had a little jacket on. I finally caught up to him and had to take off my jacket and tie it around his collar like a leash, so by this time I was really cold. There was NO WAY i was carrying a 60lb dog all the way back home. Luckily lucy brought the car and picked us up. WHEW- what a morning. All this happened before 9am! :)

So anyways, I went and worked out and got a well needed pedicure. It was a nice and relaxing day. I got home and Jason had just arrived from being on the road, so that was nice to have him here for my bday too. We pretty much laid around and played with Kelson. Went to eat at Red Lobster, then went to Hog Wild 2 to meet up with friends. We had a great time, went back to the cave, and ended staying up till 8:30AM! The sun was shining so bright and we all couldn't believe it. The night had FLOWN by. We were playing games, dancing, singing, listening to music, etc. It was a lot of fun. Jason and I went to bed and woke up around 1:00pm- Lucy had errands to run and brought Kelson to us, luckily, she was tired, so I laid her down for a nap, and she slept another 2 hours- and so did we :) Got up around 4 and took a shower and got dressed to go eat dinner at Lucy's house. They made lasagna- it was very good. Mom and dad came over and we had dinner, opened presents, and ate ice cream cake & played the Disney bday song. I got some really cool things for my bday. Thank you EVERYONE for making my bday a special one!

BIG 30 next year- BRING IT ON!!!! :)

Parents.com

Thanks to Aunt Jeannette- I put Kelson's picture in at parents.com for the "cool hat" contest. This is the picture I submitted. People vote on it for fun, but they do actually choose a winner after a few weeks of entries. You can win money or something. I just wanted to post Kelson on her cause she is so darn cute. Funny thing- I e-mailed my sister to put her kids on there and she had already done it. Thinking alike. You can check it out and even vote at this website.

Strike a pose....

Daddy and I are in "taking pics" mode. Esp with our fantastic new camera. As you can tell- from all the albums I've recently published. Daddy's fav outfit on Kelson is NAKED. She has so much fun and its almost like she's sighing when you let her free. She plays with her toys and eats her hands most of the time. She is so much fun. Here are a couple of "posing" shots. Also, Jason stuck the cowgirl bib on her and she looked sooo cute. If only we combined the two outfits ;)

Happy 3rd Bday Elliot!!! Thanks for inviting us!

Kelson went to her first bday party. Her cousin- Elliot, Louise and Chris's grandson turned 3 years old. They had party hats, balloons, cake, pizza, and presents- all the things a 3 year old would love. Elliot was SOOO excited when I arrived, cause I was running late- working out :)- so when I arrived he was allowed to open presents, so right when mom and I walked in he screamed- "Aunt Kelly is here- PRESENTS!!". It was soooo cute. He was so ancy & ready to bust open the presents. I watched him open his presents and all the clothes- he just threw over to the side- so funny and typical. Since his mom and memere would say- this is from so and so- he would open it, look at it, and try to hand it back to the person who gave it to him. It was hilarious. They would say- No its for you- for your bday. He was like Oh ok- and then start on the next thing. He got a ball and bat from someone and Kelson was playing with. She was a natural and born to be an athlete. Jason and I got Elliot a few cars from the movie "Cars"- I've never seen a more INTO cars like this little boy. He carries his cars with him EVERYWHERE. Its so cute. Kelson bought him a big ole gravedigger truck. He loved all of his presents. I kept jokingly saying that it was sweet of them to decorate early for my bday. His bday was the 7th of March.
Around 8:30 (Kelson's bedtime) she started getting cranky and ready to leave. Nanny and I were playing on the piano, so I asked she come see me and let her bang on the piano- she LOVES it and she even placed her fingers out individually to play each note. It was adorable. She stopped being fussy too. Her Aunt Nin has taken some lessons, so I'm hoping the days she babysits she will work with Kelson on it. Kelson's Aunt Deena also plays, but isn't local, but maybe on visits she can teach her too. There are some pics in the slideshow link below.

I'm soooo anxious for Kelson to start talking cause that leads to SINGING. I'm so excited about the months to come.

Spring is NEAR...

We had a beautiful day a few weeks ago and Jason decided to take Kelson outside and play and take some pics. She played in the middle of flowers, a tree, and leaves. She makes the cutest faces and you can tell that she is a happy girl by her expression. I've gotten her used to accessories since she was a newborn, so a hat, hair thingy, or glasses don't bother her a bit. I'm glad to cause i'm all about accessorizing. Keri started Annabelle out really young and she LOVES to dress up, so I'm hoping the same will happen with Kelson. I can't wait for springtime so we can go to parks, play outside more, and watch movies on the big screen. Having Kelson here will be such a NEAT experience! I'm trying like heck to get her to see the Easter bunny. Not sure how she is gonna react, but I think she'll just stare and want to gnaw on him. Kelson still has no teeth coming in- she is going to follow her daddy's footsteps in that area too. She is starting to sit up more and more on her own. I'm sure she will be crawling pretty soon.

Biscuits, Toast, n Apple Juice...

Kelson is a HUGE fan of the biter biscuits and melba toast. When she is gnawing on it and i'm eating she smiles so big. I think she likes the fact that she is "eating" solid food. We tried giving her apple juice a few weeks ago and she didn't really care for it, but now she really likes it. Hasn't got the concept down of holding the sippy cup, but that will come in due time. Everytime she eats her bis/toast she ends up with it ALL OVER HER FACE (see picture above). She is such a sweet girl and really showing her personality lately.

Bob and Lucy's Bday...

Bob and Lucy surpringly have the same bday so they get to celebrate together EVERY YEAR. Pretty cool. So this year, we went to Indigo Joe's to eat and celebrate. Bob was 58 and Lucy was 59. We had a really good time and some of Bob's Ruggby buddies came by (Ruggby's as in the bar, not the sport) hehe. We had a great time. Jason was on the road, so he couldn't join in the fun :( Kelson didn't have much time to sit down- with all the holding and playing she did with everyone. Here are some pics from that night...
