Blogger Weigh Ins... 2nd week...

We actually didn't start till April 30th, so today is the 2nd week of our weigh in's! I hope everyone is doing a GREAT job! I can't wait to hear the comments for this week. I weighed lastnight, but I'm going to weigh again today for my FINAL result for this week. I hadn't lost much, but I lost some body fat % so that's a plus- esp since I've been busting it at the gym. I took the Body Combat class lastnight and it was a GREAT calorie burner class and I'm actually sore today. I suggest that class to all. Its funner than the treadmill or elliptical. Time flew by too. I LOVE Rocky Balboa, so this is right up my alley ;) Well girls- LET'S HEAR IT???

This week's challenge: Drink as much water (half of your body weight) EVERY DAY!
Ex: 180 lb girl will drink 90 oz water a day! GO FOR IT- you can do it!

I started to get discouraged due to the fact that I was SLOWLY losing weight and then I read these tips and felt better, so I wanted to help re-assure your dieting/exercising progress as well:

1) Weighing yourself first thing in the morning is usually best. Because of variations in food and fluid consumption, we often “gain” different amounts of weight throughout the day.
2) If you're weighing frequently, remember that daily fluctuations in weight are common. Just because you're heavier today than yesterday doesn't mean your weight control program isn't working. Don't become a slave to the numbers.
3) Monthly variations in weight are also common in menstruating women.
4) “Plateaus” in weight loss aren't necessarily bad. If you're exercising a lot, your weight may remain constant for a time even though you're still decreasing your body fat content and getting healthier.
5) Finally, cues other than the numbers on the scale are equally important. How do you feel? Are your clothes getting looser or tighter? Do you feel stronger, healthier, leaner? Your own perceptions can be the most valuable tools to help you track your weight control progress.

Flight Trip to FL- TOMORROW...

Well Kelson and I are headed to FL tomorrow to visit Keri and the kids! I'm super excited. We are planning a very eventful time. Pictures, beach, discuss my 30th bday plans, etc.. good times. I can't wait! I'm a little nervous about flying alone with Kelson, but since its a direct flight I don't think it will be too bad. I'm gonna bring my carrier so Kelson can hang out while I pull the luggage and carry the diaper bag/purse. I have it all figured out :) The only part I'm nervous about is WHO IS GOING TO BE SITTING NEXT TO US?? I hope its either an empty seat or someone who doesn't mind kids. The flight isn't too long, so that's a good thing too. I always think back of Keri's HORROR woman on her flight to Europe. She was very crude and said mean things to Keri about keeping THAT BABY quiet- it was awful. Have you guys ever experienced anything like this before? If so, how did you react?

I know that we will be fine and I'd rather fly than drive any day. Allegiant is no longer offering non stop flights after May 31st, so I had to take advantage of it. Stinks! Anyways, I hope the fire problems in FL won't interfer with our flight. Just say a little prayer for Kelson and I that we have a safe flight down and back!

Another thing that Keri and I plan to do while we are down there is --- Watch NKOTB on the Today show together Friday morning. How exciting! haha! I'm sure its gonna either be really cool or really suck- no in between.

Well wish us luck on our first airline adventure as mommy and daughter ;) Love to you all!

What's up with that? COMMENTING ON BLOGGER

So, why aren't you readers out there commenting? My site meter said I had 22 hits today, but not one comment? I don't get it. Are my stories sucky? haha. Not getting comments is like when you send an e-mail and you just can't wait to see that response in your inbox and you never get it- its frustrating. I am writing this blog more for Kelson to have as a memory of her life but I would love some feedback, congrats, stories of your life, etc.. The only comments I've been getting are from my "Biggest Loser Bloggers" on our competition.

What's up with that!? Is it too much work to have to comment or something?

Imagine how much time it takes to write the blog ;)

Baby Dedication/Happy Mother's Day

I'm just getting around to write about this day. What a wonderful day! We went to Pineview Family Church for Kelson's baby dedication. Bro Joey had each couple come up with their child and he asked us three questions pertaining to promising to have God involved in their lives. It was very sweet. Bro Joey made mention that Jason was lead singer of Heartland. He joked that he had cold feet and didn't want to sing at church, but would do it in front of thousands. I had asked Jason if he would sing a few days prior, but I guess Mike wasn't available to play. After the questions he had our family members gather around us to pray for us and to help guide us is a positive direction. It felt really good doing this for our family. The church gave Kelson a pink new testament bible. Very cute. We enjoyed the church service and got some pics with Joey afterwards.
After church, we went home and had sandwhiches and just enjoyed the time together and hung out with everyone. The girls watched the movie "27 dresses"- it was pretty cute. Guys did their thing. The mothers got flowers from my mom and dad and Adrienne bought some for the mother's too. We all had a wonderful dinner that Jason made- turkey, country style ribs, potato salad (thanks Nin), and a cabbage/mushroom Emeril recipe dish. All was delish. We opened our presents. I gave both mother's a "Kelson" pocket photo book (pics of her from the beginning to the most recent). They LOVED them. I added a few of Corgan and Belle into mom's book. I got a very sweet card from Kelson- Care Bears card- and a sweet one from my hubby too. Daddy went and grabbed a Dairy Queen Ice Cream cake- it was very good. It was a wonderful 1st Mother's Day. Yesterday, after work I got home and there was a gorgeous tree- crape myrtle that Jason and Kelson got me. Its to help me remember my FIRST Mother's Day. How sweet! Going to plant it somewhere special and after it blooms, I'll take pics for you all to see.

Surprise- your going to see the Hsv Orchestra

Lucy and Bob bought Jason and I tickets to see the Huntsville Symphony Orchestra for our anniversary present. I wasn't sure at first what to think about it. I do love listening to an Orchestra, but mainly when there is singing with it. Well come to find out it was the Hsv Orchestra playing songs from some of our fav movies- Star Wars, Disney, Harry Potter, and Little Shop or Horrors. So then I was excited :) Jodi Benson- the girl who was the voice of Ariel from Little Mermaid was gonna be there too.
We went to Dolce (restauraunt in Bridge Street)- it was expensive but sooooo good. I had the mushroom ravioli. I don't understand you pay more money and get less food. What a stupid concept? Anyways, since I'm dieting that was probably a good idea. We got to the VBCC Concert Hall and as we were entering we saw some storm troopers and various characters from some of the movies taking pictures with kids. We left our camera in the car- since we thought they wouldn't allow them, so I ran back to the car to get it. I RAN too in high heels- that was fun. NOT! By the time I got back they were already gone. POOP. So anyways we went to our seats and the show started. At first I wasn't sure if I would make it through it- I was really tired from the night before- they played the "Star Wars" theme and some of the characters came out- some I have no clue who they were, but Jason knew them all. hehe! Then they played the soundtrack from Raiders of the Lost Ark, Harry Potter, ET and Superman, then another movie I didn't recognize and that's when I was getting sleepy. They had intermission after that. I looked at the program to see what was coming up- I was super excited- it was the disney portion. After intermission Jodi Benson (voice of Ariel), Burke Moses (the voice of Gaston- from Beauty and the Beast), and Gary Mauer (star of Broadway's Phantom of the Opera) All three of them were phenominal singers. They took turns singing- either solo or all together. It was so much fun watching them and they were so into the music. I WISH I could have gotten video. I didn't stop smiling and I was no longer sleepy. They did a number from the Little Shop of Horrors and Jodi NAILED the part of Audrey talking/singing. Again very good. After the show, we were going to get in line and buy the Little Mermaid movie and get her signature, but the line was FOREVER long. So we got some pics with the storm troopers, superman, and other star wars characters. Jason was in heaven and like a 5yr old. It was a great night. Thank you Bob and Lucy for the memorable night.

SOOOO CUTE!!!!

I was straightening and sorting out Kelson's clothes when I ran across some of her summer bathing suits and a penguin suit that Aunt Keri had bought for her months ago. So Jason and I decided to play dress up with her. She has three different bathing suits- no not spoiled at all- hehe. One from the Annabelle collection, one that Aunt Jeannette bought her, and one that we got her. Yesterday I found another one too that I someone else had bought her at one of my showers. Jason put the penguin suit on Kelson while I was putting away clothes and they peeked in with that outfit on and my heart just jumped cause she looked soooo adorable and was smiling! We went over to show Nanny and she couldn't believe it either.
Anyways, take a peek at the MODELING world of Kelson. Its so freaking cute!
More pictures

Things about Kelson: Signs "more" VERY WELL, "fan" (when she wants to), pats herself for "i'm here" when Memere asks where her pretty girl is, holds both hands up when someone says SO BIG (grammy did that one), grunts at people, HIGH PITCH squealing when she gets excited, says Nana, Dada, and Lala.. no Mama yet:(, has two bottom teeth, goes to bed around the same time (8:30pm ish) in her own bed, loves ALL foods, loves her cheetos, drinks water very well, holds her own sippy cup, still cherishes her pacifier "pap pap" and puts it in her mouth herself. Loves to go to sleep to Olivia Newton John (thanks Papa), LOVES to watch Wonder Pets, still loves to bounce in her jumperoo, starting to wave hi and goodbye, will go to anyone (still shy around the boys though), doesn't mind to dress up (obviously), loves to play with EERS and gets excited if he runs though the house, loves to play with the remote control, loves bath time, and is so much fun!
