Heartland's New Release... take a listen

They expect their new song "Slow Down" to be released in three weeks. Its such a meaningful song- really touches the heart like "I loved her first". Its so sweet. This song can be protrayed as a mother to her daughter. I REALLY feel this song ;) Its perfect for Mother's Day- i wish they could have gotten it out before then. Oh well- God has a purpose and timing for everything- maybe Father's Day :) Anyways check out their myspace page and take a listen. Heartland Myspace Link
There are two other songs on that site that will be on the album or may be one of the next releases after Slow Down. They are called Modern Day Jesse James and Thank God for the Hard Times. Both great as well. They hope to shoot a video not longer after the release and get another song ready to roll after that is complete. The label is going to push the song HARD, so let's all hope that Heartland gets another #1 or at least a top 10. I think this song will get Heartland's name back out there and back on the map :)

*Congrats to Craig and Wendy Anderson- they are expecting a baby boy in September. Finally someone else will have a boy besides Mikey ;)
*Happy 40th Bday Keith and Happy 36-37th (not sure) Mike!!!!

Happy Anniversary Baby!!!

Today is our official 4 year anniversary! 4 years of total bliss ;) I can't begin to explain how fun and eventful these last 10+ years have been with you baby. We have been through so much together- my school years, your band years, touring, road trips, numerous gigs, THE CAVE nights, dinner, movies, KELSON, family get togethers, cookouts, friends, laughter, tears, and so much more. I can't imagine anything better! I want to say thank you to our parents for being such an inspiration to us- I know things get rough- we see that first hand- but we know that love and God will pull us through anything. Thank you for showing us that!! I plan on staying married to this man FOREVER. OH- and I have to thank Uncle Paul for being the one to marry us- (don't worry you'll get another thank you on Thanksgiving- hehe). Marriage is such a whirlwind sometimes and we lose sight of things and so many people give up so easily, but I believe that its such a sacred thing and once you add kids into the mixture you really have to remain strong and passionate. Kids are such a blessing to a marriage. Having someone thats apart of each of you is something SOOOOO awesome. That's why we figured the name Kelson was sooo appropriate. Now- naming the next one may be difficult ;) Jason, thank you so much for all that you do for our family, remaining the same loving guy that I married, handling me, and always showing your loving affection. You are and always will be my prince charming!

Our Anniversary Trip in TN

Well we had a great time in Tn. We got to G'burg around 6:30pm and went straight to the hotel and got checked in. The room was very nice- had a fireplace and jacuzzi tub in the bedroom. We were starving so we got showers and headed to Bubba Gump Shrimp, Co. Restaurant. It was very good- I actually ate good too. We each had a few margaritas and headed to the shops. We WANTED to go gamble some but the cab fare was $65/each way and it was all hills and I knew drinking and winding hills wouldn't go so well together, so we passed on doing that. We went to the arcade and played a few rounds of Deal or No Deal for tickets. We got 100 at one time and gave it to a little girl :) We played Nascar- he won- and went back to Deal or No Deal and ended up getting more tickets so we each got a stretchy flower ring, a bouncy ball, fun dip, and a beaded necklace for Kelson. We went to Blaine's after that to get a few drinks and just hang out. So we sat at the bar and played the touch screen game for an hour or so. It was fun. We were both pretty tired so we went to bed.

The next morning - I was up pretty early- around 8am- thanks to my work and Kelson schedule ;) so we slept in a little longer than headed to the Pancake Pantry. My girlfriend Randi raved on how good it was and indeed it was. Luckily, there wasn't a line out the door- like normal. It was raining a little, but it didn't stop us. After breakfast we went to the Ripley's aquarium- we had a really good time. There was lots of cool fish and sea creatures. There was lots of kids- so of course we missed our little one. After that excursion, we went to the World of Illusions- it freaking sucked- haha! We were laughing after it was over and we walked out and said- ok kick us in the balls one more time cause that was awful. It was sooo dang cheezy and cost $15 for us. Oh well- live and learn and we got a good laugh out of it. We went and grabbed the "infamous" sausage dog with onions and peppers- it was really good. We shared it cause we knew we had the Dixie Stampede feast coming later on. Jason took a pic of the sausage and sent it to Craig- apparently they used to get them all the time when they came together. We went back to the room for showers and to get ready to go shop at some Pigeon Forge stores and to go to the Dixie Stampede. We went to the Christmas Inn store- our fav- its ginormous and has so many unique things. I bought our pastor a ornament to thank him for Kelson's baby dedication coming up on Mother's day. Jason and I also bought ourselves a wedding anniversary present to eachother- its a Mickey Mouse collection- it was Santa looking at his list with pluto holding his sack of toys- and guess whose names were on the list- KELLY and JASON- and they were right next to eachother- we knew then we had to have it. We are going to add Kelson's name on it :) After shopping we were out of town so we went to the Dixie Stampede. They had a pre-show- which was really fun- a bluegrassy band- very talented. Then it was time for the dinner/show. I had heard from numerous people on how fun and exciting it was and indeed it was. We were on the SOUTH side :) GO SOUTH! Our waitress girl was SOOOO southern and sweet- as sweet as our sweet tea (that's for my dad). The dinner was a rotisere chicken, bbq pork loin , creamed veggie soup, biscuit, potato, and an apple turnover. It was soo yummy and you had to use your hands to eat it all. The soup came in a spout so you can sip it. The show was spectacular- fun, exciting, and the best part is Jason got volunteered to be in the horse ring toss- or what we thought was a horse ring toss. Ended up being a toilet seat toss. It was hilarious! Jason played a great part and although we lost- it was fun and def memorable. We bought the picture that they took of us- with the dixie stampede logo- since we really had none together :)
After the show we talked about going to see a movie, but we couldn't find the movie theater so we just headed back to the hotel- we were pretty tired. So we wanted to rent a movie, but no pay per view and I jumped in the jacuzzi and the jets didn't work, so that was a freaking bummer. I wrote a comment about it to the Clarion Inn- well see if they send us a complimentary something ??? ;)
The next morning we hit the OUTLETS- man alive was this fun. We had a few hours to spare so we hit all the kids clothing shops- of course- got us some new sandals, disney outlet, and many others. We got home at 5pm and Kelson was there waiting and so excited to see us- as we were to see her- and our little man eers too. We plan to do more "alone" trips as time allows. Overall it was a lot of fun and I got a few pics from our trip if you wanna check em out.

Hanging with Aunt Lisa

My best friend- since high school- came to town to visit. She currently lives in Jacksonhole, WY. I've been promising her to come see her and still haven't made it. The only time I was actually going to plan a trip- i got pregnant. So anyways, I plan on going to visit her- even if it is for a wedding ONE DAY... :) 10+years or so- hehe! Anyways, we got a chance to hang out, go get dinner, and get together another time for dinner with her family. She is the same ole girl I will always love. We had a great time and she got some QT with Kelson. We even made a joke that Kelson and Shelby (Julie's little girl) will end up babysitting for Lisa's kids one day. hehe!

Ratatouille moved in...

Well lastnight I was heading to bed and I happened to notice out of the corner of my eye something moving underneath the fridge in the kitchen. Of course I screamed and jumped up on the dining room chair- haha- what a sissy I know. When I did that I peeked over and it was indeed a little mouse- he came back out and it was like he was trying to find a way out. Although I HATE rodents he was so freaking cute. I've seen that Ratatouille movie one too many times. I was scared to death so I texted Jason (he was at his mom's watching a movie) telling him to come save me- haha! Kelson was in bed- thank goodness. Never got a hold of him so I called Lucy and she sent Brady and Jason up to help me. Jason was laughing at me for being up on the chair. Since Jason and I are both such loveable people we don't want to kill anything so we set the "hotel" trap for the mouse. Its a contraption that traps it so it doesn't harm it or kill it. A few years back we had a BAD case of the mice- we ended up catching like 14 in a month- it was AWFUL. So I'm having flashbacks of that happening again. So anyways, we set the hotel trap and went to bed and this morning he was gone from the place we last saw him and he WASN'T in the trap- :-0 So anyways, Jason said that he left the door cracked lastnight so he could get out if he wanted to since he was near the door. I said OH NICE- so he went and got all his friends and now they are gonna have a beach party! So... instead of one ratatouille we may end up with a lot of them!!! EEEEWWW! Please pray that we find him and its only the one. Anyone got any suggestions on how to get the mouse? I don't want to kill it, but I don't want it in our house either! EEEWWWW!!! Now if I come home today and he is on Jason's shoulders cooking and throwing in ingredients- I'm calling for help!!! hehe!

The "Diet" Fight

With all the events going on- Jason and my anniversary weekend and Cinco De Mayo today, my diet is not going well at all :( I think this week I will have gained, but that's ok, cause I plan on kicking it back up for the next 9 weeks :) Its so hard when you have special events come up. After i get some pics uploaded i will share my GREAT anniversary weekend. It was hard getting pics of ourselves (since we didn't trust a stranger to take it and its kinda difficult to use), but we managed to capture a couple.
